I'm not sure when they changed the laws (I assume there was some legislation in place?) to allow anyone to stick whatever the heck on a label and flog it off, but blimey it has made a mess of the wine landscape.
I feel like a good 80% of 'brands' are now "produced for company Y". There are so many decent vineyards putting out good wines themselves, I really feel zero need to buy something conceived of by a marketing team that knows more about red bull vintages than wine vintages.
