    • Eclipse is based on the ASX platform, which is getting pretty old, released around 2010..

The previous N-line had way more power than this and could be picked up for $28,000 in manual after discount during covid. Wild price increases these days.

  • These are no longer made in Korea, they are a European manufactured car, hence the huge price rise. Import duty is paid on these cars.

Ridiculous price now, you can buy a whole series of EVs for similar money with far less running costs.

Well unless you are one of those people who insists on driving to Melbourne or Brisbane from Sydney without stopping even for a piss.

  • A reminder to include an expiry date in your deal posts whenever possible. In this instance, it is clearly displayed in the [D] footnote.

A reminder to include Driveaway or + On-Road Cost in your title.

  • Pity it's not the sedan i would be interested.

  • wish this was the N, I would click 'buy it now' in a heartbeat

  • I had an 2012 i30 Premium - highest spec at the time. Solid car, reliable. Fuel consumption not as low as Japs but reliability is up there.
Sunroof, heated electric seat, keyless entry and rain sensing wipers - all were ahead of Japs.
No issue mechanically. Got it for around 18k - second hand. RRP was around 30+. Good deal.

So, 42k is too high. The car is good but legacy car makers are slowly getting behind Chinese makers.
Toyota is just relying on its brand. Soon, with more Chinese cars, the public will be more receptive.
