First time posting… been keeping an eye on stock - and finally pulled the trigger on the HW-Q800F (noting only for pre-order, ships from 28 July).

Same deal as the previous ones - this and this - but extended to 16 30 July.

    Awesome post @0hms especially for the Q990F and Q800F as discounts were so few and far between for the previous generation D model.

    Personally speaking I think this is an even better deal than when pricing was comparable to previous sales of older models as the subwoofer has been improved.

    Thanks for this OP. I was gutted to miss the EOFY sale for the Q800F and was checking stock daily (except for today funnily enough). I thought it wasn't going to restock until BFCM.

    I'll gladly take a pre-order, ships from 28 July 2025 as stated by Samsung. New user and additional 5% code brought it down to $545.52 through Westpac portal. Just bear in mind Q930F and Q990F are only 40% off through Westpac Samsung Portal.

                    @tommo91: Yes I was talking about soundbars, and how a low cost $992 plug n play soundbar just like the Samsung HW-Q990F is not the king of Atmos setups like the member stated, that crown goes to seperate audio component receiver, speakers and subwoofer/s setups. It’s a fact that soundbars are cheap products in the world of home audio, and they’re inferior quality and performing products compared separate audio component setups, it would be foolish and suicide for any person advocating soundbars to not admit that seperate audio components setups are objectively superior to soundbars, if they don’t want to get destroyed in a debate.

                    Why has it upset you that I have said that I don’t think the particular individual I was addressing can afford much more than a soundbar? I wasn’t speaking about all soundbar buyers in general. My observations over time of the comments from the member I quoted not just on OzBargain, are yes I don’t believe they can afford much more then a cheap $900-$2000 soundbar. The members stupid, ridiculous and inaccurate “plug n play atmos is king” comment is something they have convinced themself in their mind to be true when it’s not at all, and it’s because they can’t afford much better and don’t want to admit that they don’t have the best and greatest but need to tell themself that they do.

                    @nikoris: The fact that you won’t just agree with me when what I have stated is factually true, or debate it by providing an actual counter argument with facts if you disagree, which if you’re smarter than you sound you won’t because you know what you said is silly and inaccurate and I will easily beat you in debate and get you to concede in no time if you did, reveals that it’s you that has issues. If you were a mature adult you would simply agree, admit you were wrong, and move on.

                    @nikoris: Can’t you put your device down for 2 hours while you watch a movie? You can’t be paying close attention to the movie if you are posting online.

                    I finished watching an Atmos 4K disc (not a pirated copy like you) about an hour ago, the large front floor standing speakers and all other speakers + SVS sub-woofers had a work out, you wouldn’t know what too loud is with that little kids toy you’re using. Please come straight back when you’ve finished watching the movie so I can destroy you in a debate, I’ll be waiting, I look forward to it.

      I have an LG TV as well - should work well HDMI eARC or Bluetooth. Won't be as good as a Samsung TV though, because of "Q-Symphony" (essentially using both the TV speakers and the soundbar simultaneously).

        I hate my Samsung S90C OLED (that was the only affordable option from a previous deal) as time to time it fails to send audio to AVR although ARC link has established. Have to power reset TV to fix it.

    990 for sub 1K is a steal. Untouchable sound for the price in a soundbar.

        Don't get fooled by the word soundbar. Look at the value that your getting with it, it punches above it's weight with minimal space and wiring compared to traditional setup

          Yep the small form factor and appearance is why I got one, but their sound leaves a lot to be desired. You have to pay a lot more to get a soundbar with decent sound unfortunately

    Any solutions if you need to put the soundbar in a cabinet? will it still be ok with the upfiring speakers? Tv is too low to put the soundbar in front of it.

      Less ideal but if forced to, use an open-back/top and ventilated cabinet for airflow and sound dispersion - esp to reflect effectively for immersive audio.

      I used my corporate account but according to above comments, seems you can also get the price quoted through CommBank Yello or by being a public service employee (per @Freaktee try googling "blue light card" to see if eligible).
