Yes they're eneloops but it's getting pretty counter-intuitive for a bargain site spend a Ladda money on so Liito amount of batteries.

Ladda batteries has been out of stock at my local IKEA. It's not even on the website anymore.

Yes some redditors have been discussing this - https://www.reddit.com/r/IKEA/comments/1le7ohn/ikea_australi…

I know it's a bit pot luck as per other comments, but at Richmond today they must've just restocked. Plenty of LADDA 2450s. Notice they are that blue grey tone now on the box instead of white. But still made in Japan on the packet.

  • Bought the AAA yesterday, but would have much preferred the AA… Would have been happier to buy two of these, but they went in sale yesterday.

  • The 4packs seem to have the same capacity as this or do you mean 4aa 4aaa v 8aaa?

Edit: nvm I see the 4packs are "up to" and the other are "minimum".

My eneloops have lasted for 10 years but my Ladda have failed from 5 years ago
    eneloops 1 in 20 failed
    Ladda 1 in 5 failed

Is that the pro versus non pro lifetime?

  • Silly question, I only have the AA charger. I assume it can't charge the AAAs ?

    • +1

Not sure what charger you have, but I have the Panasonic one that comes with eneloops, and it can accept both AA and AAA in the same slots.

  • Any recommendations for an 8 battery charger?

    • +2

Littokala make various different chargers that keep good records views here. I have a 4 battery charger and seems to work fine.

      Powerex MH-C980. ISDT N8. XTAR VC8SL.

      They're a bit pricey.

It might be more cost effective to buy two small 4 slot battery chargers. e.g. XTAR MX4. XTAR LC4 Pro.

To check in, we (OZB) are over eneloop posts since Sanyo sold a large stake.

I have some surviving Sanyo eneloop well past their cycle count. Come back in 15 years to see if Panasonic ones survive.

    • It was one of Sanyo’s best inventions!

  • I bought some other Eneloops and good old Amazon wanted me to sign up for a subscription. So they assume rechargeable batteries are consumables. I took the deal as it saved me around $5 but I'll be cancelling once the renewal comes around.

You can cancel it right now.

  • How do these compare to ikea?
