i maintain 7 inch wristers got best of both worlds 38-41 no prob- even up to 44 i think still okay

      • +3

The snoopy is beautiful! If it's on sale then I would have grabbed it already haha

Love the weekender.. just wished they included a date window.

      • +1

Yeah same but on the other side I think an ultra clean dial is nice especially with indiglo

        • +1

It's beautiful.. but I work contract and the number of time I had to " excuse me.. what's the date?" When signing papers.

I wear a Casio F91W.. my only very very minor complain I have is the light.. but it's a classic and lovely watch.

"FYI - Some owners report Timex watches have a loud ticking sound."

This is a good feature. Lets you know the watch is working. I wasted so much time returning and getting a refund on my Rolex because it was broken and wouldn't tick when the hands were moving. The salesperson tried to make excuses about it, saying "they're all like that" but I disagree and the customer is always right.

i used to think timex watches were loud ticking but at least you can just put it in the drawer and cant hear it any more - in comparison on a quiet night, even in the drawer, the hourly 'beep' of my skmei 1628 is so piercing i can hear it down the hall on a quiet night lol

      • +1

Hourly chime is such an underrated feature. I set mine 1 minute ahead.

FYI - You know you can turn it off yeah?

        • +1

Nah feels weird without it, it is handy as hell during the waking hours though - kinda like white noise I kind of can’t sleep without it now lol

      • Casio F-91w son

"loud ticking" Al-Qaeda hates this one feature..

'sir, why is your luggage ticking?'

Hey WatchNerd… do you know what they say? they say you are going to send me broke!!!! you got any cheese i can eat? :)

Bought the Weekender last deal. Returned due to the crazy loud ticking, thought I could live with it but it drove me bonkers.

  • How can you tell which watch listings on Amazon are potentially fake or not? Just asking

The metal Expeditions look really cool but the base metal is brass so if you have a sensitivity to it then you may want to avoid. The back cover is stainless steel at least, and that's the part which touches your skin the most, but best to be forewarned. I've got a resin-cased model with the same dial in black and it's great - Indiglo is amazing!

  • Timex 38mm Easy Reader TW2R638009J… $53.00 delivered

the link shows USED $67.87 ?

    • The black strap is still available at $63

So tempted to buy one of these but with mobile always so handy, I can't justify the purpose.

    • +3

Imagine the time you'd save by glancing at your wrist instead of getting your phone at of your pocket. Over the course of your life, you could shave literal minutes off.

If you really can't justify spending Timex money, perhaps consider a Casio for $30 or less.

    • -2

they don't serve a purpose - consider it a decorative accessory to your outfit. a smart watch can greatly improve your look.

you may also have an appreciation for a well-made piece - they dial, the movememnt, the detail etc..

if you're tempted, it's fairly cheap as watches go, and not a bad treat for yourself.

      • +1

I wouldn’t buy an el cheapo Timez for a “decorative accessory”, build quality sucks, and I say that owning and wearing one regularly, but as a genuine tool for telling, because I don’t have my phone on me 24/7, nor do I want to dig a phone out of my pocket every time I DO want to know the time.

      • greatly

I don't agree tbh. I think it can "complete" a look, but I don't think it does heavy lifting in terms of improving someone's aesthetic. It's like the last 1%

    • People don't realise, watches aren't about telling the time!

  • Post got me looking at Timex range.

Some tempting colours in the Harborside Coast range which are 100m rated.

WatchNerd cost me an Invicta last week so I will abstain.

Thanks WatchNerd, I got the expedition for $60, looks nice 👍

  • I wouldn't call the one in the main deal an easy reader.. white on white. Worth spending a bit more on other colourways imo, but good deal and cheap.

    • The "Easy Reader" isn't the main link anymore because the price was jacked to $63 as mentioned in the description.

      • Ok, np

  • What's with the holes they cut for the date. Looks like a hack job

  • Strange this received more upvotes than my Casio post. Casio's are awesome.

    • Casio's are awesome but the Solar Classic face looks like my Seiko digital of 40 years ago. I still have the Seiko but the digital face is not a style I am now looking for.

Keep posting and I will keep buying.

I had been eyeing off a Weekender for ages, and when the sale came up was about to commit but read some of the ticking comments here which made me think twice. I didn’t see your Casio post but ended up looking at a bunch of Casio’s too and picked up a Casio G-shock GST-S110D for $340 which seemed like a decent price.

      • Cool, that's a bit different to a Timex Weekender LOL, but it will definitely look good on you.

The link to the Casio post (expired) is actually in the description.
