I was going to buy the motion sensor and a temporature/humidity sensor and I noticed a 15% extra deal. Added the temp/humidity sensor to cart as it was cheaper than usual @ $37.05 and noticed a huge discount. Took sometime to figure our how it worked.
It appears it gives you a 15% discount on total + a 20% discount on total.
Not sure if this is a system error or not but thought to share it.

My Tapo T100 shows up as a device in "My Home", so it's being found by my Zigbee wired LAN gateway ~$25 on Ali
New to the world of Tapo. So are you saying I can use this place of a H100 hub?
No, newer devices are Sub-G aka Zwave
Thanks OP for pointing to the Tapo deal. I ended up buying 5x non screen version at $15.55 each (including the NAB card discount).
Wish they did a smoke alarm bought all the smart plugs for my 3d printers and cant set up a proper routine for them with a wifi smoke alarm.
Be cool if the new IR controller was in there!
these aren't zigbee are they
Is there any point in having something like this Zigbee? Or are you saying if they're wifi they're going to make you run through a stupid cloud?
does anyone know if you can export or retrieve data from these devices for record keeping or automation? i.e. not having to use their app to view
it was not clear from description
Free Data Storage & Visual Graphics - Records temperature and humidity data and generates periodic data summaries.
@bheart you can email the temperature data via the app. as I have about 5 of the temperature humidity ones. I have 1 in main fridge and 1 in smaller fridge.. and signal gets out. I setup alerts in the app to let me know if temps get too warm also.
looks like Officeworks are selling the monitor for full price at $52.00. Not sure that they would pricebeat the 20% off for 3.
Pretty sure these are all tuya devices. Ive got kogan smart plugs, brilliant smart wifi smoke alarm (interconnected), aldi corner lights, arlec power board, moes zigbee hub, random brand zigbee pir/door/humidity sensors, smart home bunnings rechargeable roller blinds etc. They all work in the base smart life / tuya app. One stop shop.
Youll find these are likely zigbee based.
Apparently even my bluetooth clipsal iconic light switch dimmer is tuya based. Kinda scary how many devices are actually built off the tuya platform.
They use a proprietary Sub GHz wireless to communicate, that is why a tapo hub is required to use it.
hmm thanks for that, I'll pass. Leaning away from tapo after the P110M matter power reporting debacle.
What's wrong with the p110m?
@rcgy: Was advertised as Matter and energy monitoring. Turns out energy monitoring doesnt work over matter - and has been over a year since they said it will be added and still not updated.
which hub please?
@Mnke: thanks. so there's no way to add these devices to google home/ Apple TV/ smart things without the tapo hub?
T100 shows in "My Home".

Add to that an e-scooter, a robot vacuum, garden lights …
T100 is old gen they changed their new lines
Fantastic deal
Wish it would all be ZigBee thoughSo it has to go through cloud because not ZigBee?
Amazing! I wish the lawn mowers were on sale too though
https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Doorbell-Protection-Custom…
Doorbell/Hub + Smart Button bundle for $55 if anyone is interested.
Everyone should also be aware of the new Tapo H110 hub before making any Hub decisions.
https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Tapo-Matter-Certified-Comp…
Appears to still be in stock with Tapo directly, great for those with split system aircon.
Thanks. Does that H110 work as a hub for all their IOT devices as well as IR blaster?
It doesn't explicitly say it on the listing that I can see. The listings for their devices are confusing as they state hub required but they all reference different hubs/versions. Do all of these hubs work for all devices?
It does state what you are asking in the listing - "Connects and controls IR appliances and Tapo sensors, integrating them into the Matter ecosystem."
@Recollect9764: Thank you. Do you know if the various hubs they sell work for all their IOT devices despite the listings referencing different hubs? For example the temp/humidity sensor listing says "hub required (Tapo T315)" https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BWCL335L but this H110 hub will work with it? I'm new to the Tapo range, sorry for the noob questions.
@sav11: Amazon listings are pretty awful at this kind of thing, details seem to get auto-populated pretty inconsistently from other sources. You'll find that Tapo T315 is the model number for the temperature sensor, not the model number of a required hub. Best to check the actual manufacturer's website if you want reliable information.
The H110 hub will absolutely work with this temperature sensor. If you look at the listing of the H110 hub you will find a picture that shows the temperature sensor. Either the H100 or H110 will work.
@Recollect9764: Thanks, appreciate the info. Do you know if the H110 works for the button https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Tapo-Customised-One-Click-… and the dimmer switch https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Tapo-Customised-Multiple-S…
@sav11: Yes, hub required for both. H100 and H110 will be interchangeable for all of these Tapo devices.
Wow, finally something I've dreamed of came true! Homekit compability for iOS users is a big bonus.
nice! I just wish they would build in some basic sensors as well, at least temp, and maybe lux or humidity
The bundle isn't any cheaper than buying the two items separately. In addition, the button is eligible for the deal from this thread if bought standalone but not if in this bundle.
One other option is to price match at JB and use $10 perks voucher. This will save more for cheaper items, like sensors etc.
The temp humidity sensor is great. Got one in the babies room with a widget on my phone showing temp.
Agreed, we have one too; I just purchased another one for $27 from JB
Hi guys, has anyone used a water/leak sensor ? is it good ? or is it effective ?
TP-Link Tapo Smart Water Leak Sensor, Home Security System, Real-Time & Accurate, Built-in 90dB Adjustable Siren, IP67 Waterproof, Dual Induction, App Alert, Visible Alarm, Hub Required (Tapo T300):
https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Security-Wireless-Doorbell…it works - I had a drip from a drain under bathroom sink and the pooling of clean water around sensor was enough to trigger it. The alarm isn't super hear from other end of house kind of loud, but that's what app notifications are for (along with a event to make something else that will get your attention).
it also has holes in two terminals, so you can repurpose it as a NO (normally open) trigger for other things, like a circuit with a contact or micro switch
battery life is also meant to be decent, but I haven't had long enough to now if "up to 2 years" is true
I have two Leak Sensors and they appear to work fine. Every now and then I dribble some war near them and the siren sounds.
Something to be aware is that the Tapo button, dimmer and water sensor are not presented to Apple Home via the Hub even though the Hubs now support Matter. Have spent hours over this and sent the button and dimmer back. The temp sensors however do work in Apple Home via Matter.
Can anyone recommend a good Zigbee (Zigbee2MQTT) one?
Sonoff or Aqara off AliExpress are good
Got a heap of Sonoff stuff in the mail yesterday, quite impressed with it so far, paired immediately no issues. Couldn't say the same about Aqara.
Not sure why I didn't think about getting their thermometers too.
SONOFF is great
Does this work with Home Assistant via local network?
I just purchased 3 x Tapo Contact Swnsors using this discount and stacking deal for $41.40.
Bargain! Cost me less than buying 2 of them individually.
I bought 3x P110m and got the multiple stacking deals.
