    We provide the cars

Can we bring our own C̶a̶r̶ Camry?

    • +1

Ofcourse not, its a front wheel drive!

      • +16

A couple of KFC trays and I'm all good

      • Mine is a rear wheel drive, can I still bring it.

      • Argh, front wheel drive can drift. What you're thinking about is a powerslide or burnout…..

    • They’ll supply the AE86 from Initial D.

      • A skyline GT-R or RX-7 are acceptable alternatives for some of us haha.

        See @paintoads comment.

      • Or a Hiace

With all the car crash posts in the forums it would be hilarious to see these OzBargainers trying to drift. I hope OP has insurance

You have to be aged 12+?
So you can't really drive the car can you?
Kinda expensive to just sit there and experience a mad man driving

Or is it you need to bring 12+ long/short pants?

    • Apparently you drift with your pants so thats why you need 12 pair of shorts

    • +1

Pretty sure you can drive a car on private property at any age.

  • Any excuse to listen to this millennial banger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuJDhFRDx9M

Done this a while ago but through a different company. Spent no more than 15mins actually behind the wheel. You get processed through different stations like herded animals. No sense of customer service, just treated like cash cows.

Probably niave of me to expect anymore.

    • +6

If thats the expectation, should be easy to make a few workshops where you get to drive around bankstown centro for 15 min.

Will Dom be the instructor? I only trust family.

    • +2

      You misspelled D.K.

      • It's on, like Donkey Kong!

    • +1

      No it’ll be Takumi.

  • I've done the v8 supercar drive over 10 years ago and the rally drive In weribee. Good fun. But beware. If you crash it's all on you $$$$$

    • Don’t they have insurance?

      • No insurance. You sign a waiver.

    • +1

Really? That's not how most driver training insurance works 😬

  • Why don’t you have a proper drift car: S13 with mismatched panels?

  • +2

My neighbour does drifting each day in his Holden Commodore, you can hear him at 3am

OzBargain tip is to buy a $500 Holden and practice yourself around town

    • +6

I live in morwell, so every time we go to the shop carpark we get a free lesson

      • +3

I live on the Gold Coast, we get to see one everyday on M1

        • There's literally tyre marks all around the Gold Coast sign 🤦

  • Dooooorift…..

New electric indoor kart track opened up near here a while back. They promoted themselves as being for those who were into drifting.

In reality it was because they found after they surfaced the track and bought their karts they found they had too much power and not enough grip. So if you floored the throttle out of the corners the back just spun up, lost grip, swung out, and slammed into the safety barrier. Wasn't near as much fun as a kart with grip and good handling.

You learn to drive with something that handles. You only learn to hoon from drifting.

  • What cars do you have? Any cars for tall people? Like 6’6”

    • If you put the seat all the way down 'and' back and tilt the right amount, the new BRZ / GR86 has a good amount of headroom and leg room - more than the 370z / Supra or anything like that for me at least. Depends on weight of course (how high you sit).
