Cheaper if you pay with discounted gift card. 10% off The Super (SCA, BCF, Rebel, Macpac) gift cards here.

    • Can you use this gift card in store ?

      • Yes.

        From GCDB:

However, Super Group gift cards (sometimes referred to as The Super or Super Adventure gift cards) can be used at any of those four stores.

For online purchases, enter your gift card’s 12 to 19 digit number and four digit PIN in the gift card field at checkout. For in-store purchases, either swipe your card or scan the barcode and enter the PIN when prompted.

For online purchases you are limited to a maximum of three gift cards per transaction at all four brands. For in-store purchases you can use an unlimited number of gift cards at Rebel, BCF and Supercheap Auto but Macpac is apparently still limited to just three gift cards.

@fishgumme Congrats on your first post (since 2014). I also joined in 2014 but wasn't active on OzB until a few years ago.

Haha thanks! Took me 11yrs…lol. Maybe another 11 for my next one.

See you in 11 years… for another puffer jacket 😂

Bought in last deal, worn every single day since. Heapswarmer than my Uniqlo one.

Pricing aside, if you're comparing to Uniqlo's Ultra Light Down then that's an entirely different product category, where Macpac's equivalent is probably the Uber Light Down. For similar warmness to the Halo, maybe Uniqlo's Seamless Down is a more appropriate comparison.

Anyone know how this compares to the Aldi one?

    • +1

From what I’ve read the Aldi ones have been comparable except this year they are noticeably thinner.

      • +2

and the Aldi ones have got extremely short sleeves.

how "noisy" is the Halo jacket? I find the swishing noise of some fabrics quite annoying.

  • Anyone have insight on the sizing/fit of the women's jacket?

  • Bugger, purchased on the w/e for $129

    • I just got off live chat to Macpac and they are providing me a partial refund of $20, worth a shot

      • This is bcf though
        Hopefully they will refund

FYI I purchased this jacket from Macpac on Monday for $120, just messaged Macpac now (live chat) and they have agreed to provide a partial refund of $20, big up to Macpac for customer service

    • Unfortunately I just messaged macpac and they refused the partial refund despite buying the jacket only last month.

      • Sorry bad luck mate, get em next time

I need a Recommendation for a men’s jacket which is warm enough for Melbourne and waterproof. I take my dogs out all the time in the rain and would love a nice jacket. Also some nice shoes which are durable for about 15000 steps a day. Thank you!

  • Heading to Germany, in October, would this be warm enough?

    • +1

      Yes, it’s all about layering.

  • Is a synthetic fill the choice if you're lazy and just want to throw it in the washing machine with everything else without worrying about special detergent or extra rinse cycles?
