@nwtau: gets to a point where cheap older model cuts into sales of new models so they balance these things , also production line costs, once you make a new model you dont want to use production resources to make the old one as some costs like ram, screen etc are the same but lower margins, apple keep making older models but that’s so they can keep new model at higher price and people pay premium if they are in apple ecosystem and want to stay there. personal phone is android, work phone is apple so i use both.

@McFly: Fair point. Like the guy above I would think people lean towards the Pro models incl XL (I have one) for the best features and big battery. So they have a lot more XLs to clearout. Pixel 9 entry model had clearances a week or two ago.

I just got $680 cash back from the Pixel 6a battery warranty program. I currently have a Pixel 8 Pro and my wife has the 6a.
