Website notes it can take 24 hours to be added to your account.

You have 30 days to redeem once activated.

This appeared as a QR code at the MCG. If it's not working for you, try setting your location to a Melbourne store, then try the link again.

UPDATE: I just received an e-mail confirming my free burger at 10:35am today after submitting it around 10pm last night. The promo is now appearing in my app. Suspiciously the promo does say it's only valid until tomorrow… but that goes against what the promo stated. So we'll wait to see how it plays out.

UPDATE 2: Here's a screenshot of the banner saying 30 days after activation in case it does expire in 24 hours and anyone wants to fight the good fight with KFC.

UPDATE 3: Despite what the T&Cs claim, seems it must be used the day after activation - but you can activate it multiple times. Updated the title to reflect.

          Hmmm, I'm wondering what makes it targeted. It was just a QR code at the game. It did prompt me to set my store up front, then I had to refresh. Maybe try setting your store to a Melbourne store? Maybe once activated you can change your order to anywhere.

            @Lockdude: I set my store to a Melbourne store (I'm in NSW) before clicking through and the promo popped up, so will wait and see if it shows in promos tomorrow. They've ran similar to this with the cricket last summer, which I think anyone could get.

        Thanks. Doesn't work for me either. Just takes me to the KFC order page. Not sure if there's meant to be a pop up or voucher.

        Cheers, that one lasted for about 3 months. I used it quite a bit. So was hoping for a new one.

        I dont think it's targetted if it was up on a screen again. Make sure you use it during store opening times. The cricket one took 48hrs to appear under promos (off memory). You couldn't use it on the day you scanned it.

        *Edit - Update - Just saw my free zinger email just came through (from simply clicking link yesterday). No location spoofing etc.

        Nothing happened when I clicked the link. No confirmation, just took me to the standard KFC page. But it did work apply.

          I don't think it's targeted either. It was marked as such, I asked mods to remove it, and they did. But for some reason mods put it back. Unfortunately, I don't believe I can control that tag.

    The way these actually look, KFC should be paying me to get it.

    Their burger range has gone downhill but their wraps are even worse, the tortilla is like a plank of fine wood.

    I got an email for it. Its in my kfc app as a promo.

    1 redemption per recipient via KFC App. Min spend $10. Not everywhere and not forever. The promotion may take 24 hours to appear in your account. Offer is valid for 24 hours once promotion is activated.

      Only way was 2 seperate orders. I think we went with a $11 zinger combo..thingy (changed the sides to 2 reg chips) + this freebie zinger. Then another order for the 2 sliders for $6 promo. Whack on the survey drink for each.

      So for 2 adults + 1 kid - $17 for 2 zingers, 2 chips, 2 sliders and 3 drinks - Not great, but better than nothing.

      P.S. I didnt do any location spoofing and I just got the email from clicking the link yesterday.

        Usually it says that but allowed this time. Did nothing special, had added this deal to cart which already had an expired deal in it if that matters. Then removed it and added $15 2 twisters deal
