INC 100 Dynamic Whey 2kg $62.99, INC Plant Protein 2kg $44.99 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Chemist Warehouse

1080

Usual deal is back.

Still waiting for an AminoZ deal on WPI hence.
Until then picked up 2 X 2kg tubs of plant protein. 26g of protein per 34g scoop is pretty darn good

Also no sucralose crap.
I usually use these in a blended fruit/ vegetable shakes or in yogurt where the heavy sweet taste is then masked and works perfectly well.

Note 1kg tubs also on sale I addition to other sports supps.

    they taste really good

    • +3

I have the chocolate one from last deal, and highly disagree. It’s so artificial and weirdly metallic tasting. Also doesn’t look like any other protein powder I’ve had before, it seems more like a silica than just powder.

      • +3

I got the chocolate flavor and like it better than myprotein & aminoz.

easier to resolve and taste smoothy

        • I'd like to add the chocolate taste is pretty good on the INC in comparison to the AminoZ but the sweetener (sucralose) leaves a pretty bitter aftertaste for me personally.

    • +1

I agree - I got 2 tubs back in May when the deal was last on at Chemist Warehouse and it's one of the better chocolate powders I've had. Still having it 3-4 times a week and still like the taste.

When I bought in May the expiry was August 2027 for anyone concerned about expiry - but always worth checking when you buy

    • I got chocolate and vanilla from the last deal. Vanilla tastes really nice but chocolate as Tuttle says tastes very artificial..

    • First time trying plant protein, got the berry flavour. Pleasantly suprised, and easily drinkable.

  • +10

I just stocked up 5kg wpi from vpa. No coupons required and its still cheaper than aminoz currently, even with the generic coupons provided on the aminoz website.
Bulk nutrients is a tad cheaper than vpa also without coupons.
Aminoz is just increasing there margins now, no longer the value deal

    • +4

Just for price comparison, with the Myprotein 40% off coupon, their wpi seems to be cheaper than vpa ($215.97 for 5kg worth)

Just checked it says 45% Off Protein Today Only Auto applies at basket so that would come down to $197.97

      • +2

Thanks for the info! Myprotein def cheaper!

        • +1

I don't know if it will work since the 45% off auto applies at basket but rmb to use top cash for extra 12% cashback.

          • @OzBargainer4Eva: "Discount code is not applicable as there is a better offer already applied to the contents of your basket."

            • @PeeDee: You didn't have apply any discount code then, it was auto applying to your cart.

      • Just looked at Myprotein, their reviews are quite bad. have you tried their WPI or WPC protein? what do you think about them?

        • The only real recurring ding looks to be short dated bags. Otherwise there's a lot of pissing and moaning about the flavours and not so much about the protein itself - just get unflavoured then add your own flavouring sans the PhD in chem eng. magic.

    • Don't quote me on this but I think AminoZ does price beat on flavours which are the same

      • +1

        news to me

        Don't quote me

        say what now?

  • +1

How does this compare in taste to the plant proteins from BN and VPA?

  • Anyone can comment on the taste or texture compared to non-plant based WPI?

ChatGPT state plant based protein powder can:
    Texture: Thicker, sometimes gritty
    Taste: Earthy, less palatable
    Mixability: Varies; can clump
    Aftertaste: Sometimes bitter or grainy

Someone pls confirm if true or somewhat true, if so, rather just buy non-plant based

    • I tried the berry plant protein and don't like the taste. It's much more grittier. The Musashi whey protein was much more smoother

      • Thanks, I'll prob stay away from plant based this time. I am afraid to buy 1kg to test and will kick myself if I hate it.

        • I'm not sure how I'm going to finish the 2kg tub now

          • +1

@rdhupar: YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! :D

          • +1

@rdhupar: Bake a cake with it? You could mix it in with some chocolate muffin mix and create muscle muffins

          • +4

@rdhupar: I usually mix it into my smoothie in the morning with 150g fruit, chia seeds and some creatine. Goes down well.

        • AminoZ have sample sizes of their vegan protein to try (and you get the cost of it back in credit). I got one out of curiosity, while the taste was pretty similar to the regular WPI in the same flavour, the texture was a lot thicker. I didn't find it gritty, but there's a certain "sludge" factor that's not there with the regular

    • +2

Tried a bag of plant based protein (Amazonia brand) some years ago and the grittiness of it totally put me off plant based proteins after that.

      • +1

Thanks! Yeah, I'll stay away from plant-based for now, unless a mate has it and I'll ask for a scoop.

      • +1

Yeah but did you bulk up & get massive? 2kg for $44.99 is hard to beat in 2025.

        • +6

I did bulk up with the 2 for $10 whopper deals lately

    • +2

Plant based are generally always grittier, thicker, less intensely flavoured, potentially not complete proteins, and don't mix well into things like oats. One exception to some of these points that I've tried is Macro Mike stuff, the texture and flavour is pretty good and I've found them enjoyable to drink, but their protein content is a lot lower versus other plant protein brands (~60g/100g vs ~75g/100g Bulk Nutrients' plant protein for example) so potentially difficult to work into weight loss diets.

If you can tolerate lactose then WPI/C is superior in basically every aspect.

      • Do bulk nutrients usually have deals?

    • Yes its very thick and chalky. I usually just skull it. Tried different brands, they all taste like dogshit when it comes to plant based protein.

    • +2

I just love the downvotes because I asked a question about the taste and texture of plant based protein……

Ya all unhappy with your lives or what?

      • the cows are probably very unhappy with their lives

        • better a dairy cow than veal

          • @0jay: better a plant than any cows at all?

            • @Raynes: not gonna get all vegetable power on y mate but there's nothing much sadder than a sad houseplant

i've no interest in defending the industry same time i'm not sure allegedly sad dairycows are any reason to switch to pea protein if it doesn't agree with y digestive tract

  • +1

Been buying the chocolate for years, every time it hits this price stock up!

    • How many times a year it goes on 50% sale? I bought some WPI in may first time and wondering If I should wait for another 50% deal or pull the trigger with this deal. I have still got enough protein for couple of months

  • +11

    Dynamic Chocolate: 70.1% protein
    Dynamic Vanilla: 74.9% protein
    Plant Chocolate: 69.5% protein
    Plant Vanilla: 73.3% protein

    • Thanks, I wonder why vanilla in both types has more protein?

      • +3

The addition of Cocao powder takes up 1 gram per serve

    • +1

      Also:
      Dyanmic Mint Choc: 69.9% protein
Dynamic Cookies and Cream: 74.3% protein

  • INC 100 WPI 2KGs is on sale too @ 83.99.

Not a bad price since WPI going around $60 these days.

    • +2

The difference is about 5g protein more per 100g. Not sure it warrants the price jump.

      • it's WPI vs WPC/WPI blend

      • +2

Depends on your dietary and tolerance.

For myself, I have a intolerance for lactose and a blend or WPC gives me the runs. WPI doesn't due to the very small amount, if not, zero lactose

Also WPI is fast absorbing, low carbs and fat.

But yeah, if you're just comparing protein vs costs and you can absorb WPC/blends easily, def. get the blended version.

        • How can you tell differences in absorption? Bloating/abdo discomfort? I think the difference in carb and fat is pretty negligible unless you're shredding to a extremely low BF where that 1-2 extra will make a difference in satiety.

  • +11

There will not be deals from Aminoz anytime soon.

They sent an email last week, announcing they're removing Club-Z and discounting and will adopt a consistent everyday price.

So anyone waiting for their next bargain will be disappointed.

Edit: Also I bought this last week (dynamic chocolate) and do not rate the taste.

    • I’m opted out of emails, did they say when we have to use existing Z points by?

      • +2

You can still use your existing Z points, from my understanding it will still be there for a long time but your next $10 payment will be the last.

    • +4

Everyone stuck with Z credits is out of luck on their now expensive protein powder. Them quoting industry wide whey shortage is a slap in the face when INC can sell this cheap frequently since they've been saying theres a shortage. Such a shame.

      • Oh this is news to me, so our residual Z points are now useless?

        • +3

Not exactly, you'll just have to use them on full price products because they eventually expire

        • +1

You can still buy it… just at $60/kg

      • +1

It sucks that they stopped stocking other brands. I used to buy everything from aminoz just to support them, even if it wasn't their aminoz brand e.g. a specific pre workout or creatine i'd always use. Their protein has been okay but did they ever get their packaging right? every single order i had from them over the years made me want to bin it from how much their packaging pissed me off. Like why produce it on a mass scale when you know how bad it is.

      • -1

Yeah difference is INC is a shitty WPC/WPI blend so naturally it's a lot cheaper.

        • How so?

    • damn thats really disappointing
im glad i used all my points on the last order

  • +2

I got the vanilla dynamic whey in the last deal.
Tastes good and mixes a lot better than the amino z WPI i was using before that.

  • I bought the whey. I was keen to buy the plant for the price. However, I’m not sure how good it is at absorbing.

  • +5

I honestly don't see aminoz doing deals again. They just abolished club z, among other things recently would suggest profits decreasing with obscene protein cost increases

  • +2

The vanilla WPI tastes abominable. The chocolate WPI tastes pretty good but has a serious coconut element to it.

Both mix poorly and leave clumps on the side of the shaker.

  • I like Bulk Nutrients ones. Blend a scoop with a cup of skim milk and half a frozen banana and it's very tasty.

  • +1

26g of protein per 34g scoop is pretty darn good

If you're comparing the price of this to WPI, consider the PDCAAS (Protein Digestibility-Corrected Amino Acid Score) is only 92.8% (better than some vego proteins of course) versus WPI 100%.
So you should scale the price of this up by 7.75% for a honest comparison.
Or only consider 24.1g protein effectively per 34g scoop.

  • +1

I got the Vanilla INC Casein Protein a couple months back and whatever sweetener they use was basically unbearable, but with how much positive feedback they have here, might be more a personal preference.
If you havent tried it before, maybe worthwhile getting a smaller tub instead of sitting here with basically 2kg unused like me.

    • It's the vanilla. Chocolate is better

    • People's taste buds are wrecked by synthetic chemicals. Someone was saying the vanilla flavour is just like Up'n'Go.

  • Anyone tried their plant protein? Of those that I've tried, Amino Z's Vegan Protein is great, Bulk Nutrients' Earth Protein is decent, and all the others I've tried are far too grainy which has put me off from trying new brands

  • +1

is this really a deal - blended protein ? WPI or nothing

  • +2

I’m about to buy a sack but I’ve heard Coles’ Pea Protein recommended countless times here - $20/kg. My plan is to add some 100% cocoa powder and shake with soy milk. Would make it essentially the same as BN Pea Protein without sucralose and much cheaper. 75%+ protein.

  • +6

Amino Z sale may not be happening for quite some time based on this

Also, I've been enjoying the INC Micellar Casein. Perfect for smoothies, gives you a thickshake consistency

    • +2

I'm sure they won't be retaining many of the regular OZB customers, at those ridiculous prices. I guess it's across the board, so it's wise to be shopping around

  • +2

This price is pretty unbeatable for plant based protein powder. Taste is fine in comparison to many others I've tried. Ingredient list is not too bad. Plastic tub too is great.

  • bought 2. thanks. was running low and was wathcing ozb for this product. gonna try cookikes and creme

  • +1

Stacked up 4 bottles from last deal, got 2.5 bottles left now.

    Might stock up more.

I chose vanilla purely for the higher protein %. I do actually quite enjoy the taste.

Not sure about others but the vanilla taste very similar to Up & Go vanilla flavour. If you like the taste of Up & Go's vanilla, you can't go wrong with this.

  • Had to roughly use my left over $230 amino z credit to buy their full price protein lol :(. Guess I’ll stock up on this too.

  • 4.5kg at $36.53/kg unflavoured organic Australian made WPI

    • +1

Be forewarned it does not state protein content, and there are sellers peddling lactose rich (75% lactose) whey which this sounds like.

      • Seller didn’t like questions when I asked about that recently. Suss organic claims too.

  • Hearing some pretty bad feedback about vanilla. Has anyone tried the cookies one? If so was it any good? Otherwise I’ll just get chocolate which seems to be the safer choice.

    • +2

I’m not sure what the negative feedback is all about, I’m currently going through the Vanilla tub and it tastes fine and mixes well.

      • Sweet, thanks heaps for the reply. Vanilla is often a more versatile flavour so ideally that would be the one I’d go for so I can have it with a wider range of ingredients

    • Bad feedback about the vanilla seems strange. It's very inoffensive.
Maybe too sweet for some people?

      • Add fruit and make a smoothie.

    • yea I got the cookies and cream. definitely has the cookies cream taste, not sweet. like.vanilla 2.0/vanilla with tad cookie taste at the end

it's good. I haven't tried vanilla but might get it.

  • I saw Costco had the nitrotech 8 hour protein 2.72kg for $80. I’m assuming INC 100 is better?

  • +2

If only they did unflavoured WPI. I’d feel like I’m getting jibbed if I’m not getting 90% protein by weight

  • i thought lifting weights at the gym was giving me headaches, turns out it's just every whey protein i use, bulk nutrients, amino z, myprotein. i can drink 2-3L of milk per day with no issue

does anyone have the reason to why this happens? and what other proteins powders i can consume?

edit: could it be stevia? i get headaches from dense sugary sweets

    • +5

      GOMAD lol

go see a doctor, no one on here can diagnose you properly

      • -1

        Or ask ChatGPT haha.

  • Thanks OP just ordered the Dynamic Vanilla tub as I've almost finished my current WPC so this is perfect timing. I've had this before and like the flavour mixed with berries or cacao in a Ninja cup blender and the value is pretty good.

  • That's a very good deal. I just got Amino Z because I like their flavours - wouldn't mind trying this.

  • Ordered the plant protein in vanilla. Fingers crossed it's better than "raw"

  • I have bought many an INC protein bar and can say that the protein quality just isn't as high compared to other brands
It's cheaper because they used a higher wpc amount that most mixed which lowers total protein % as they then spike with amino acids to bump it back up.
Pure product is better as long as you don't mind shitty sweetener flavour but the protein itself is better.

Source: Personal Trainer that has eaten a 1000's of protein bars

    • Curious to know how you as a PT quantify protein quality?
