    If you are not looking to buy fuel, another good buy is gift cards m (I usually get Amazon Gift cards)

      That's a great tip, I don't usually choose my local Ampol as they're typically the most expensive. Any idea of other gift cards they sell? Their website isn't very informative.

        GCDB keeps track of gift cards reportedly sold at a bunch of retailers, including Ampol Foodary.

        However, the range of gift cards available will vary from location to location. For example, I was at an Ampol Foodary last night and did not see any Amazon gift cards on the gift card racks.

        Additionally, different locations have gift cards hanging in different parts of the store. For example, some keep all their gift cards behind the counter, some keep it on a dedicated gift card shelf or shipper, some keep it on small vertical racks in-between shelves, etc.

          Last time bought Amazon gc from Ampol was early this year.
          Saw some Amazon gc in one of foodary Ampol last night, but cashier kept getting error when scanning it she has tried all the amazon cards behind counter. Not sure if it’s Ampol has removed the amazon gc from their system as I haven’t seen amazon gc in many Ampols I visited recently.

            @li1123k: In my experience, Amazon gift cards were only stocked at a small proportion of Ampol Foodary service stations, and I have not seen them recently.

            I know Amazon has been recently withdrawing their gift cards from some other merchants (e.g. Coles, giftcards.com.au) and the current list of merchants stocking Amazon gift cards is smaller than I remember, so it would not really surprise me if Amazon gift cards cannot be purchased from Ampol Foodary anymore.

            Was the attendant scanning the short barcode or long activation barcode?

            • If they were scanning the short barcode only, they should get a message on the checkout system saying something along the lines of "scan the long barcode".

            • If they were scanning the long barcode and they got an error message, it probably means Amazon gift cards no longer can be purchased at Ampol Foodary.

    Got this one targeted to me. I'm a little unsure but does it include FuelPay? The deal says online payments but this might not show up at Ampol via my card?

    Been using Ampol's app to use FuelPay for a while now. They've been the cheapest nearby and I churn through accounts for the intro 3 x 6c off offer and tie each account to my Everyday Rewards card too. Would love to stack this Cashback on there too, but obviously if they can't the Cashback is better than 6c off per litre.

        I missed out on the last Ampol one with NAB Goodies. But that had convoluted T&C's, the first part stated in-person transactions only. But then later in the T&C's it said in-person and in-app purchases. Could've tried to argue the case but wasn't worth it for $5 or $10 at the time. This one appears a bit more clearer around online, but not sure if FuelPay is seen as the same merchant…

      If you are paying online, you need to sign up for an Ampol account and use the Ampol app to pay for your visit (ensuring your targeted NAB card is the payment method).

      If you are paying in-store, you do not need an Ampol account.

      No.

      Everyday Wish/Woolworths Group gift cards are usually only sold at participating (but not all) EG Ampol sites.
