How is the one handed operation for medium size hands?
Rarely happen deal better than their preorder sale. The Z Fold 7 deal not as good this time. I guess Flip 7 doesn't sell well during pre order.
Ended up getting the Fold7 + Watch 8for $1149 upfront, going to try and talk my way into the 50% discount on the plan that has been mentioned on this thread, since my connection is actually quite poor here

Currentlly in process, my house is in a 5g deadzone with only limited 4g coverage (usually between 1 and 3 bars) so likely will work, but will hear back in a few days. Promised a discount on the first year if they cant resolve the issue by August 15th.
Lucky, I tried calling them and I was in a deadzone as well. They kept bouncing me between technical support and customer support and only offered me $35 credit

Took the plunge for Flip 7. Upsold myself to LTE watch (paid $100 difference) + $5 a month for eSIM. All for the 3 times a year I go running without wanting to take my phone with me.
Now I guess next 5 hours spending on transferring apps and praying that authenticator and other MFA apps works!

So to ensure we are only charged the $690 ETC, when do we actually cancel?
Do we wait until we tick over to month 5 of the billing period, ie the day after Month 4’s billing period ends?
And if that’s the case are we liable for Month 5’s $69?
How do we ensure 4 months have elapsed so we can cancel but not be charged Month 5. Any assistance would be appreciated.
I missed out on the latest JB IPhone 16 offer and lower ETC (it increased from 24/725) so now I’m thinking stuff it, I’m going Samsung and watch. Maybe change is good.
The CIS says 120 days. So calculate that from activation date.
@Rochie: Yes of course, you’re right so if that is the case and I sign up and it’s activated today 2nd Aug and first month $69 charged from activation date then the following should be true.
If sign up is 2nd Aug, 120 days from that date is 30th Nov.
Billing Periods
Month 1 bill period
2nd Aug to 1st Sept $69 (first month paid in advance on day of activation or within few days)Month 2 bill period

@rjozsa: I believe you are charged on your billing cycle regsrdless once you have started it(not pro rata). So yes, ideally, 1st of december would work as long as the 120 days have elapsed including the starting date.

Yes it includes Monday too. I got the deal today with upgrade to the 46mm Classic watch and paid the difference of $250. Try to get them to do some reduction on the difference, no luck to me but worth a try. I’m happy with the deal.
@nightelves: It is a bit of a statement and I do have a thinner wrist. I was going to just do the normal 44mm with the $50 difference but I just liked the rotating bezel and actually liked the larger screen. At the end of the day it’s not only a watch it’s a statement piece. It reminds me of a Breitling and they’re nice chunky watches. PS it does sit comfortably on the wrist just behind that wrist bone.

I went to HN Auburn(Sydney) earlier today looking for furnitures, but can see all the mobile sales person were busy connecting people to Optus. I'm guessing most of them are buying Flip 7, which is the best deal at the moment.
I hate to say it, but this might be the new way to get cheap phone after JB increase their ETC by $200. Especially with 50% off the mobile plan this makes it the cheapest way to get new phone for now, and hopefully this trick can stays for long

Just get an Aldi sim $5 and activate it and port that number over. The flip has duel sim, one physical sim and one eSIM.
They did ask me if I have had Optus before and I said I did but it was with the number I want to keep with my current provider (amaysim) I just wanted to port over my second number (the Aldi Sim). He then was able to go into my Optus account which was still active after a couple of years and after he spoke to the call centre (no waiting for merchants) Optus reactivated my old Optus file and updated and ported my second mobile number.
The guy did ask why I had 2 numbers I said it was because of work and left it at that.
The real reason for this Aldi sim was because I wanted to take advantage of the JB Hifi IPhone 16 deal with $800 ETC but they then upped the ETC to $1000 and it wasn’t worth it, so I thought I could just use that. In retrospect I could have just let the Aldi sim lapse and ported my own number rather than pay amaysim and then port out after 120 days, but then again better I not fart arse around with my number and possibly have something go wrong.
Went to HN Richmond (Vic) and they offered me the Fold7 for $999 upfront on the plan. Dunno if he just made a mistake or what - I went with the flip w/ 44mm watch upgrade for $50, but if someone was super keen to try your luck, I heard them offer it to multiple people

Genuine question, does HN pricing policy for the sales person very strict? Do staffs got penalty or some sort if they happen to sell something below advertised price?
Most times, JB sales are usually very flexible on combining deals, price matching, and sometimes throwing some bonuses. However, my experience at HN is complete opposite. Forget about combining deals and price matching, even doing price matching alone are more likely to be rejected.
All pricing strategies are dependent on the franchisee, although i can’t imagine anyone turning down business. I did hear of someone getting fired for repeatedly discounting stuff, but this would’ve been apple products at unreasonable low prices.
Good HN franchisees will Price Match, discount, combine offers all the time to close business, JB’s are all controlled by head office, so that’s why they seem more consistent.

The “outright price” is the price of the phone at that time if you were to buy it outright, so if it was a flip 7 256gb, you would get $1799.

I got the silicone case from HN since it was on sale. And just bought the spigen screen protector online which I'm slightly regretting — it seems expensive ($35) but couldn't find many tempered glass ones from ebay/amazon. Upside is that it has precise camera cutout.
