Thanks so much OP. Was looking at these this morning and kicking myself for missing the deal a few days ago. Grabbed one.

I got one from the last deal too and really like it, turn on auto+ and it has some fancy "AI" features lol but probably just clever marketing, nonetheless bought another…

Just beware Philips branded replacement filters are $150 for one set (you get two but the air purifier requires two filters at once), recommended to be changed once a year, so factor in that cost too.

I see they went for the printer - ink cartridge business model. Nice. $12.50 monthly subscription for filtered air.

        • Any suggestions for cheaper ongoing?

Thanks , Bought one ! Only Black one is on sale for $279 .

They are brilliant product comes with 2 yr warranty but the Filter might be Hard to find after several years .

Found this nowhere near as good as their prior model. Issue is it sucks air from behind it and pushes it forward, instead of up. So it’s only sensing air behind it instead of in front. Much less effective in corners. Who puts air purifiers in the centre of a room?

    • and they nuked the filter lifespan

Bought the white one earlier when it was on sale and cancelled it. They way it blows the air from the middle part ruin it. I'm not gonna put it in the middle of the room with the cable lying on the floor. Much prefer the old one.

      • I was also thinking the same but turns out it isn't that bad, I put it in the corner of my living room and can feel the air blowing when it ramps up whilst sitting on my couch, so even though it doesn't blow up it seems to fan out more. Would suit sitting on a small table or something but it's definitely too huge for that and looks out of place.

        • Yes agree with you fully.

However, it is nowhere near as sensitive in my space at picking up obvious fumes eg. Cooking in the kitchen vs my 1000i.

          YMMV.

I bought the mini 900 for $178 coming Monday

If you can get it at a good price the 3000i is better value given that filters last 3 years. I hate the way Philips went with filters that don't last. So bad for the environment

  • Are these too big for a main bedroom? Purchased one for the living room and looking for something for the bedroom now.

    • No such thing as too big, is there?

I think it depends on positioning and how you use it. My wife farts like she has just eaten 10kg of Beef Vindalo so I am interested in buying it to put on her side. We even have seperate quilts as I used to almost throw up when slightly lifting my side of the quilt.

  • Can I ask a serious question for people that use air purifiers.

    Do they dissipate farts quickly?

I bought one of these the other day when OP posted.

    Pros:

It looks great. (In my opinion)
Features are nice like Auto Plus etc & I like the ambient light. The humidity monitor in the app is a nice to have.

Cons are it just does not do as good a job in the corner of picking up smells and air quality issues as the far cheaper Mini 900's I now have moved in all my bedroom's. There seems to be something about the 3200 sensing air from the back and blowing air from the front instead of at the top like the Mini 900's do that may be causing this, but it's disappointing. The Mini 900's regularly wherever they are ramp up and start cleaning when air quality drops, whereas the 3200 never seems to go above 5 or so even when my wife burnt some cooking last night.

Considering their filters are $59 on the Mini 900 compared to $150 for the 3200 and not to mention the Mini 900's were on sale for $179 vs the $279 of the 3200, I feel if you are going to place it in a corner in a moderately sized room the Mini 900 is a better buy.

Does the mini 900 come with the auto+ too or just the 3200? Seems more like a software feature rather than any hardware limitations?

      • +1

Mini 900 doesn't have the Auto+. It doesn't show the humidity either on the app screen, so I think Philips are keeping a few features for the more expensive models like the 3200 that are probably software related.

I just think with its design, the 3200 really needs to not be in a corner to get its best performance, but I find it difficult to know where to place these things if not in the corner of the room.

    • How easy is to return this 3200 to Amazon if you are not satisfied after using it ?
And how reliable are 3rd party cheaper filters?

      • Just me, but I wouldn't mess around with 3rd party filters as I have no idea the quality etc.

In terms of Amazon & returns, it's always easy with them. Just keep the box to make it easier to send back.

We’ve had a similar experience. Great review.

  • The extra $120 is gone. Back to $399.
