Those are rookie numbers you gotta pump those numbers up
Here's me thinking 4k on a Saturday was enough…. definitely rookie numbers 😅.
Rumour is they’re dropping a 5080 super 24gb later this year, I reckon that will drop demand for these and prices will probably come down a bit more
Don't know y you were negged, it's true.
The 5080 Super likely won't be using the 5090 chip though, so there would still be a huge performance gap between them
Even if true, doubt 5090 price will drop much, if at all. 5080 super pricing will be stupid (circa $3k imo) at which point the performance gap and price would push people to just get a 5090.
Why get this, when you can get a 5070 with 4090 Performance?!
You need to wear leather jacket to be eligible to say it.
the more you buy, the more you save
Gaming? $4k to play games and kill pixels? Please tell me you are getting this for local AI!
$1999 USD RRP
Why do people keep quoting the RRP which is unobtainable?
The cheapest 5090 (PNY) on Microcentre is $2700 USD which is $4170AUD.
RRP is or at least was obtainable - there were reports a few months ago of people having paid $1999 in the US.
The lucky few. That ship has long sailed but it is good to see the prices are coming down.
USD prices are before tax. Add GST and it is $2200 RRP. Still a bargain.
I don't get understand comments like this. Not ALL parts of the US have tax. 5 states have no sales tax at all.
We have sales tax (GST) everywhere though, so a USD RRP converted to AUD is never what we should expect here. It's disingenuous to quote the pre-tax RRP as if it should be expected here.
Thanks to Gerry Norman for the GST on foreign bought goods…. 🤯 Sigh thought he had enough money already!
I'm a bit out of touch with graphics cards - this is a card made by inno3d using an nVidia GPU?
What do all the different card manufacturers actually do?
I had always assumed they just stuck the gpu and a heatsink on a motherboard.
That's pretty much exactly what the board partners do.
Ha! Cheers, so I'm not as out of touch as I thought.
But nowhere near as rich as I need to be.
They also deal with marketing and distribution, and end up wearing the risk with unsold stock and warranty claims.
Nvidia provides the GPU (which is manufactured by TSMC), and reference designs on how to implement the GPU in a card and driver software. It is then up to board partner/manufacturer to design the PCB/heatsink/power delivery which can differ significantly within brand or against competitors. They also provide the warranty which again, can vary greatly.
"This card is standard 3-slot, so a bit thinner." 3 slots "thin" lol. I remember when GPUs were all 1 slot.
Also remember when GPUs didn’t draw 400+W under load?
Yeah, there’s only so much you can do within the limits of physics, especially when it comes to thermals. All that power ends up as waste heat, since the computational process is nearly 100% inefficient.
Not sure what will be the impact per the replacement of GDDR7 in compare with HBM
How many frames for Crysis on full?
69 frames.
nice
Amazon have price matched. Anyone know a way to get it cheaper?
Wish I srocked up on more 10% off gift cards last BF!
Yeah! $3600 would be a great price, I figure the low end cards my stabilise around that price so you could buy without regrets, but at $4K it's going to keep falling
Thankyou for your wisdom, I need to stay strong 😂
Anything below $3800 and I am going to be mighty tempted!
What is anyone doing that requires the latest iPhone? Plenty of excess consumption that’s just the way it is.
4K 120hz on our massive oled monitors 👀
Anyone with 5k2k aspirations will need the best to get the most out of it. Don’t think gpus are keeping up with monitors.
Showing $4,299 now. guessing deal is now over.
Yep expired today as part of their deals day
Yar, good deal!
If it wasn't Saturday night (the traditional night ozbargainers go out scavenging for empty bottles to get 10 cents back), it would see more clicks.
Only need to save 39 990 recycled bottles to make it free
