How long do I have to stay with another carrier before I can port back?
It's recommended to use the full term to maximise the value, but you can always port away as long as the service is active.
What information do I need to provide for porting request?
You need to provide the exact same full name and date of birth registered with your current carrier. Most of failed porting requests are caused by information mismatching.
When can I start using the new SIM after a successful porting request?
Wait until the old SIM is disconnected (no service). Some carriers may ask you to enter a code via SMS to confirm your port out request. You could miss that SMS if the old SIM is taken out too early then your porting request won't be processed.
