          TBH I can't remember, had the issue for more than 6 months a year or two ago. Error message on GC purchase, wouldn't complete. Took a backend customer service call to fix and then had worked ever since with no issues.

      UPDATE: called Woolies and they said it was their end that rejected the payment. Then they did something on their side and asked me to try later which I did and the payment eventually went through.

      So if you also experience this just give them a call.

        No need to try, TCN has banned Shopback on all their cards with the sole exception of the Good Food card. God knows how much money they lost on this in the past years lol.

      Possibly not. However, I’m not sure if it can be used to buy good food gift card on shopback or not. Good food should still be able to buy restaurant choice.

        Don’t think Woolies gift card can be used to purchase any giftcards

        only exceptions are prepaid visa/master card that can be used in woolies (eg. Special giftcard, Category choice groceries, Shopback supermarket etc.)

      No, they will be treated as gift cards which can only be used to purchase groceries, not other gift cards. I tried to do this on the last Woolies promo and it didn’t work, either at self serve or at the counter.

      I was confused as I had used Woolies gift cards from Special Gift Cards worked to buy other gift cards in store - but that worked as they are just visa cards tied to Woolworths merchant ID.

          Restaurant choice doesn't seem to work well for online payments (but perfectly fine when tapping in store at POS).

          Also the TCN app is handy for finding out MCC at places if it gets declined/accepted.

        They’re great until you don’t have enough left on the card and it gets declined. At least the Coles GC automatically splits the payment for you.

          Huh? You get to see the balance in the wallet, so just key in how much to pay with the card so it doesn't get declined?

              @snappy1234: The card-only ones are like you describe. The others (ie, the 'cash' ones) drop you straight to the screen where you can select Gift Card.
