This link isn't working for me anymore :(
Works for me. What does it say .. 404?
No. It just refreshes the page. Will try on mobile.
Thanks. Worked on mobile. Cheers.
I am getting 404
Looks like I got in just before they pulled it.
I am getting:
404

That deal is not working for me either on mobile (Android) and Windows desktop. Says page not found.
Marked as EXPIRED!
yeh they pulled it this arvo
I managed to sign up, and on the final confirmation page, after entering everything, it showed 404 error, but I still received an email with sign-up confirmation number.
So who knows, maybe it will go through?!?
do they have EV electricity plans? currently on a 8c per kw for ev charging at home.
Econnex Deal covers many retailers.
Check each retailer listed for your postcode.
Will it be available for customers who had switched through Econnex?
As long as you are switching plan or retailer. Staying the minimum time with current retailer after signing up in earlier Econnex Deal.
I switch very regularly💰Do you use a new email to sign up everytime or the same one?
Only ever used same email in last 5 years with Econnex.
Will I still qualify for the gift cards if I initiate the switch using this link but put the customer and billing details under my partner's name (elec and gas currently under my name)
Yes. don't see why not. use the same details throughout
No! It's a legal issue for retailer. Not Econnex.
To switch between retailers you need to be the person named on the energy account.
Or be authorised with the current retailer to make account changes.Retailers can't change an account if you don't have authority to make the change!! Otherwise people could control others energy supply🤪
If the switch can't be completed, no MC for you!
Not true. I switched from my wife's name under the energy supply - Both Gas and Electricity to my name and back to her now a few times. Switch was completed all the time. why would you signup to other peoples energy account lol other then messing around. even that would not work as they run through ID checks as well now before signing up.
That is good.
Was Origin advice to me in past.
I've always used my details in Econnex switches for last 5 years.
why would you signup to other peoples energy account lol
Money!! Door to door sales people used to sign up people to switch, without their authority - for the commission they gained from their company. First customer knew of it was a different retailer on their bill.
Bit early for me since the last switch, next month it is!
Used to be $300 for Gas and Electricity!
But $225 is still pretty good!
but… it probably means Econnex is withholding $75 for their profit…
but… it probably means
Value of offers vary just like other supply & demand markets.
If retailers want more customers to switch, they will offer a higher incentive. Reflected in Econnex Deal offer.
Incentives were higher well before July energy price rise.
Retailers wanted to lock in as many customers as possible then. Hoping they will stay & pay higher tariffs to retailers. It's been dropping since then!
Last $200 MC offered 31 May
$200 electricity switch offers in these Deals are historically not common. I've been profiting from Econnex Deals for about 5 years. Only use electricity.
Switched in mid June for $175.
Received 2 x $200 MC for switches earlier in 2025.
Switched again here for $125 + Bill Credits from retailer.
Will see what is offered in 45+ days🤔
Seems like they took the promo off just a while back. Econnex mods lurking her lol.
Hopefully another offer comes up later in the month. My 45 days from the last deal ends around 8th August and still have some credit to use up.
Switched electricity with Econnex 15/6 for $175 MC
Set REMINDER in that Deal for 45d…
Time to switch again💰ALINTA BILL started 21/6!!
Checked… That's 46 days today🎉
ALINTA wasn't cheapest & had no Bill Credits.
Switch regularly for the incentives…Only paid $0.58 for 41 days electricity.
(All electric aircon house, no solar)June bill $58CR (10d, Govt $75 Rebate)
July bill $0.58.
August Bill should be under $15Then receive $175 MC😄
My 120 days is up on 15th of this month, Anyone else waiting for gift cards from mid april?
2 x $200 MC for electricity arrived just over 120 days for me this year
$175 June switch still to come⏳
Now this $125 MC.Check Ecconex emails ~120 days
MC sent in Karta Rewards email
Only have 1 month to activate MC!!After you activate it, what's the validity of the card?
3 months
Yes. Still waiting.
Mine just arrived
PM the Econnex Rep Manyo if it's late.
Have done that - received reply & MC days later.great to hear, will PM after 120 days
Include your Reference number from Econnex Confirmation email. Need that to check your account.
I've PM'd him and still haven't received my cards from the Feb deal :(
Just received mine today, from 17 April. Took 118 days.
OP, where you you find out about these deals?
Google alerts
I got rejected by PowerShop said my credit criteria doesn't met their requirement, but i always maintain and keep track of my credit. Anyone experienced? Such BS
Came here to note that they dont always follow through with their bonuses, I switched on the 29th of May and havent received a thing. Have emailed them tonight to ask whats up, their sign on email doesnt note the bonus either which is a bit average
Buyer beware!
Eligible Recipients will receive the applicable Card/s by email up to 3-4 months after connecting to the relevant plan/s.
The only email you will get is from your chosen provider.
they dont always follow through with their bonuses
I switched on the 29th of May and havent received a thingAs usual, someone always complains without counting the days since signup or reading the t&c stating 90-120 wait for MC.
What do you expect??
That's only 70 days since signup! It usually takes just over 120 days to receive MC. It can take extra time to switch accounts & for retailer to send info to Econnex.
You received Econnex confirmation email with their confirmation number? Use that number in any correspondence.
That Econnex email never references the MC bonus.Received all my many incentives in last 5 years!
I've suggested in previous Deal, that people take a screenshot of the first page of Deal link - with the MC OFFER! It disappears after Deal expires.
Don't email - you'll just be wasting your time!
PM Econnex Rep Manyo who manages Ozbargain offers. But what's the use, when you have another 50+ days to wait??
How does the minimum connection period (45 days in this case) work with NBN?
Because if we join for example, Superloop, they request 30 days notice.
So can we join, cancel on day 15 for actual cancellation and disconnection on day 45, or do we need to cancel on day 45, and remain for a total of 75 days (2.5 months instead of 1.5 months)?
Anyone have any experience with this offer?
For my location, OVO has about the lowest supply & usage costs.
Tempting…BUT OVO estimates your usage!!
Got a shockingly high bill last time.
And that high Bill has to be prepaid!
It does promise 3% interest on credit, but it is a big bill shock🤪My consumption is about 1/3 of average single person household $0.58 for 41 days electricity with ALINTA after $75 rebate, but will be charged based on a large high consumption household (at least average $155 to $240/month)🤪
"You will be paying for the energy, in advance every month, based on the energy we estimate you will consume in accordance with applicable energy laws, pursuant to a bill smoothing arrangement as set out in our Market Retail Contract Terms and Conditions."
Will try again, asking OVO to take into account my past bill history with them
The long OVO T&C you have to agree to… (It's AGL!)
After giving full details & authorized Direct Debit.More than any other electricity offer I've signed up for!
"OVO pays 3% interest on credit balances (after all monthly charges are considered). This is prorated for the number of days since your last bill.
You will be paying for the energy, in advance every month, based on the energy we estimate you will consume in accordance with applicable energy laws, pursuant to a bill smoothing arrangement as set out in our Market Retail Contract Terms and Conditions.

….
Oh boy!! Definitely will be leaving after 45 days!! Other Retailers are much easier to deal with!Feel like I really had to earn my $125 MC with this offer!
Received confirmation email with Reference Number
So am signed up to OVO😤@INFIDEL Hi. Have you churned back to Powershop recently?
Their t&c's for credit now say that the market contract must be your first gas/electricity market contract with Powershop for the premises you switch indicating they might have closed the churning loop for their sign up credit.
they are the only providers with sign up credit on top of the econnex offers showing up in my postcode.are you churning for econnex CBs mainly these days? OVO doesn't seem to have credits and AGL (not through econnex) returning customer credit appears after several months of staying with them.
https://www.powershop.com.au/customer-terms-and-conditions/e…
https://www.powershop.com.au/customer-terms-and-conditions/e…That's the reason I haven't returned to Powershop😖
Like Powershop a lot. (7 times)
Great customer service on phone, very helpful.
But it was bought by a bigger player which brought a change. Will return after 1 year to hopefully receive the largest Bill Credit available.
But a big Bill Credit + Govt rebates means a long stay for me to use it up. Due to very low electricity consumption.
Which means fewer Econnex MC😭Last with Powershop to 28/2/25. $150 Bill Credit then.
I've used the other Retailers with Bill Credit in my area like Engie.
So playing with the minor players ALINTA, OVO…
For cheapest bills over 45 days to maximize return from Econnex MC.@INFIDEL: Hopefully after one year, we're considered new customer with Powershop. t&c's atm for Powershop say "first contract" (no time limits).
I used EA and Engie about 4months ago for their bill credits on top of Econnex GC.
You actually do the switcheroo after 45 days and still get the Karta GC from Econnex after 3-4months even after having switched to another provider through them?
I reckon a spouse might be able to apply?
OVO are Billing me $176 in advance for month when my usual bill is around $60/M🤪
Will cancel that contract within the 10d cooling off period. As is our legal right.
omg the deal gone? show 404 page not found
So quickly. I didn't even see it make to the front page either.
Showed available 6-8/8
Deal link is removed after expiry.
So if you signup, take a screenshot of offer before it disappears🤔
Recieved my gift cards for a previous deal last night, check inbox people.
Only if ~120 day waiting period since last switch (needed to qualify for MC).
Switched electricity 15/6 (60d ago)
Many weeks before I qualify.
No email
Ecconex scammer, 6 months have lapsed. No gift card was awarded. Stopped replying to my emails. Switch through them for cashbacks, never received. People stop switching through them, they are scams and doing frauds. May be rewarded few customers but many got nothing.
Better off using this > https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/902931
30 days and 150$ Mastercard
