Grey markets keys have some problems, potentially including credit card fraud.
This is mainly an ethical issue though as the blowback rarely falls on those who buy grey market keys.Buying from Steam means you're directly funding Kojima's recruitment for his next husbando.
One of the benefits of steam is that you have the 2hr refund window if you decide the game isn't for you.
The first few hours of Death Stranding are a bit of a struggle but after that it's very addictive. I'm about 50 hours into first play through and loving it. Glad I pushed through.
I upgraded my free Epic Games version for $6, FYI.
Some people got the directorcs cut for free from Epic during their giveaway
Yeah I missed that somehow :(
I missed it too. You had to be awake at 2AM or 3AM for that first hour.
Same. Worth it for PS5 controllers.
As for the game, I am currently playing it through having started and re-started it a few times. The first few hours (say 5 or so) was difficult to progress as it was too boring for me.
I ended up pushing through it on the Nth attempt to play and now I'm about 60 hours in and really enjoying it. Like most games, you start with nothing and nothing in this game meant walking loooong-distances around the map.
But with more time comes more equipment and abilities, and for me, more enjoyment.
I also play on handheld (ROG Ally) and game runs nicely on that too.
I had the exact same experience. Tried getting started I think 3 or so times, before getting past the initial hurdle and really enjoying it from then on.
Became almost relaxing towards the end, not sure it's meant to 🤔
I think I'm in my 4th or 5th try over the past few years and have never managed to push through that sub-5hr boredom. I'm too time poor to grind out a walking sim at my age, which is sad as from all reports it's a great game.
Yeah, it's definitely not a game for the impatient. It lost me after a few deliveries unfortunately. I'm not trying to put 60 hours into a game before I start to enjoy it.
I had a similar experience of trying to get into the game. Came back to it after a while and really enjoyed it. As others said, it was relaxing at times.
I enjoyed the story a lot. I played the free version from epic games store. Once I finished I regretted not picking up the directors cut edition on steam. I prefer steam achievements, and the game was easily good enough to justify buying.
Bring on the PC version of the sequel!Beautiful game, I found it quite relaxing. After I hit about the 50 hour mark though it got a bit too repetitive for me.
$18-$20 AUD off sites like Gamivo, Yuplay, Kinguin, etc. but this listing is the cheapest off an official store
