Cashback terms and exclusions

  • You must empty your TEMU cart prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback.
  • Any orders that are made from outside Australia or that are perceived to be made from outside Australia (ie using a VPN) are ineligible for cashback. This is at the sole discretion of TEMU (not TopCashback).
  • Cashback is ineligible on the portion of orders paid with TEMU credit or vouchers.
  • New customer rates & offers are limited to one (1) cashback per member account. Customer status is determined solely by TEMU and its decision is final. TopCashback has no control over this process.
  • Accepting a TEMU best price adjustment after your order has tracked will affect your reported cashback, and in some cases will reduce it significantly or be declined. Please do so at your own discretion. TopCashback has no control over this process.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.

        ACCC should shut these things down until they're no longer iffy…

        There shouldn't be the ability to say "maybe you'll pay $120, maybe you'll pay $200 - we don't know. You'll have to pay and see what happens."

          It is what it is. From my understanding Temu use their own tracking which just isn't as good.

          For me the risk is worth it, this year I have had 8 tracked and 1 not tracked. So far the missing tracking case is still open after ~3 months, we'll see how it goes. Payouts haven't been an issue.

          • @Hiphopopotamus: It is better than nothing, but if the ACCC stepped in and said "fix it or get rid of it" then they'd fix it because they want to gamify shopping.

            Until the ACCC steps in, these cash back platforms don't have much of an incentive to fix it.

            I think it's only a matter of time before the regulator takes a look at it.

              Tracking has never been 100% (other than maybe buying GCs, but in that situation the CB companies have full control), I feel like they could easily hide behind that.

        sitewide policy. international orders must make up minimum $40 cart.

      • I only discovered it when I went to cart and tried to pay. It refused and told me a minimum of $40 spend is required to make any purchase.
        For the cheap little products you get it often takes a lot to get to $40 and I don't want to spend that much so I just leave the site and go elsewhere or go without.

    Tracking perfect for me. 20+ orders now. Slow to become payable though approx 12-14 weeks at a guess.

        My routine is strictly always mobile APP through to chrome browser, via mobile internet connection. PC/Desktop is a lottery dip i avoid, last year i had random tracking issues not limited to TCB or Temu and this is what has since worked perfectly for me.

    Didn't track, lodged a claim. Sitting untouched by topcashback for a week now.

    Disappointing.

    • Claims were resolved around the 2 months mark previously but a couple of mine have gone past 3 months. Still unresolved.

    What pi$$es me off more is that I took care to get it right, even ignored some discounts, didn't claim for a price adjustment afterwards, or a refund on a crappy item.

      Same here on multiple occasions, TCB/ Temu is a bait and switch.

          My downvote is not for topcashback my downvote is for this specific deal for Temu. as you can see in my unedited post i clearly say no response from Temu in over 3 months which is unacceptable and has nothing to do with Topcashback. That is why i am downvoting.

          may i ask why you felt the need to try and call me out?

            @n0mad: Thanks for the clarification. I'm not sure as the comments you're replying to seem to be unhappy with TopCashback as well. Hence I asked as I remembered chatting to you last week.

    I find that TopCashback is pretty bad at tracking (high value cash backs). I don't know why, all my low value cash backs seem to track but I want to purchase something which is more than a few $ back and TopCashback fails to track.

    • What do you consider high value? Probably biggest order i have done is around $250, many around $100+.

      I started having random tracking issues last year so in desperation moved to using phone with mobile internet connection and Its been faultless since. I strictly use TCB android app through to chrome temu site, my steps posted in previous deals. For wuat its worth some others having issues reported success following same.

      • High value for me is pretty much anything over $10-$20. All my small purchases seem to track fine, but the larger ones do not. I've purchased car insurance ($2000+), but the promised 10% Cashback was never received, VPN purchase, large David Jones purchase at Christmas.

        • Bugger, thats awful. I know that frustration. All i can say is above has solved my problems, i've not had a tracking issue since including 20+ orders via Temu, a few Aliexpress, BWS, PIA VPN. I strictly avoid any other means/PC as it seems there are just too many points of failure for tracking.

          • @Xizor: But I bet your Temu tracking is including some arbitrary 15% VAT or something. Your final cashback will only ever be 40% x 85% x order value.

            You mentioned non-tracking with Cashrewards for Youi and David Jones here in June. Cashrewards rejected both your claims.

              @trixieb: Yes - Sorry my comments about items not tracking was a generic comment referring to Cashback tracking sites and not specifically to TopCashback. The Topcashback issues I have had recently related to trying to purchase a VPN.

              Specifically, the issues with car insurance and David Jones was for CashRewards. Sorry for any confusion or if my comments were misleading.

              The most reliable Cashback site for me has been Shopback. They were terrible initially but haven't had any issues with them for the past few years.

    Never tracked for me automatically, always needed a manual nudge but so far 100% (about 8 in total) all paid out correctly. Some do take longer than 3 months.

    We need to telly what percentage of us are actually getting our cashback, I've personally got mine approved 50% off the time but on the other I had to lodge a ticket to get it approved which is dodgy in itself

      I'm sure that's how many of the Cashback sites actually make their money. They receive the rebate from the company but don't pay out to the customers who made the purchase.

    All my transactions using topcashback have always tracked except for temu…..

    Have placed orders with Temu using shopback and had no issues but orders had to be placed using mobile site.

    Wondering if thats the problem…all temu cashback orders should be placed using mobile. Will be great if anyone else who had no issues w temu/topcashback confirm if they use desktop or mobile to place their orders.

      Temu usually tracks the next day in the afternoon/evening. It's not instant tracking, at any cashback sites.

      40% cashback offer started today 9th August from midnight so will track tomorrow afternoon/evening.

    Temu is a scam. Their cashback system is different from the other retailers thus they mostly don’t track especially with larger cashbacks. Avoid.

    2nd order tracked automatically after following the instructions mentioned here.

  • yeah, i wished it would just work. made a claim for 3 items and i'll also need to do a price-match for each after they're approved. this is going to take months of waiting and back-and-forth

    I placed my order at like 11:49:16pm last night. Will that still count under the 40% cashback promo? Or does the order need to be placed before 11:49pm?

    After placing the order, I did check Topcashback's page for Temu (refreshed the page too) and it was still showing 40% cashback. The cashback amount changed after midnight so I'm hoping I made the cutoff.

    Fwiw I have only bought stuff from Temu through TCB and it failed to track. I put in a claim and 2-3 months later it was accepted.

    Overall it was relatively minimal hassle (the annoying part was that you have to submit each item in the order separately as a claim amount)

    I think in the future if people buy from Temu via TCB just factor in that tracking isn't the best specifically with Temu and that it might be a while before you get your cashback. Overall I can't complain with my experience

    2/2 success to track for me now, took 24 hours from purchase, $103.81 cashback from a $288.30 purchase

  • My order tracked but purchase amount is 15% less than my actual order amount (I was only expecting 10% from GST).
    I guess better than no tracking.

  • Mine track most of the time. So far have 48 cashback submissions on the top cash back page (only 3 I have had to chase), and $678 claimed.
    A few tips that I follow :
    * Use PC
    * Nothing in Temu cart
    * Open Temu from top cash back link
    * Add what ever to the cart
    * Can have multiple tabs open, but don't close browser
    * Personally I don't use any other Temu discounts or codes
    * After purchase, I will check for price adjustments for the next month
    * In the rare event it doesn't track, follow the missing cash back on the top cash back page. Have had 1 Temu and 2 other retailers. It can take months.
    Wife follows same steps with no issues as well.

    Logged into my topcashback account and placed my temu order using chrome on my mobile.

    • Just fyi - I had regular issues with tracking with Temu, I followed these tips and that worked this time.
      I also just returned the complete orders last occurrences it didn't track.

        I am not the first time shopping on temu. about 70% time tracked. the website is tricky so they have to pay not me. if everyone return the untracked order and put reason cashback didn't track. they will learn
