Is that really Juventus' new home jersey?!

  • +1

From the adidas range, what do we think provides best support and durability for distance running primarily road?

I've mostly used Asics, historically a fair bit of Nike, I like Saucony.

Recently I've tried some cheaper Adidas, a couple of Lite Racers, would say they are serviceable with adequate support, but poor durability and probably not protecting your legs enough with higher k's. Have a pair of Ultraboost which I'd say has much better support, but they feel heavy, and they've broken down in the front of the outsole too.

    • +2

Highly doubt they're in the outlet, but the EVO SL are good.

    • +4

SL2 are a great daily runner (and entry level to their serious running range). Ultraboost are certainly heavy to run in in comparison.

      • @jayz @humphrey623

        Adizero is where it's at?

        • +1

Adizero is their running range. Though in my experience they usually aren't included in these outlet sales.

        • +2

Full model name of SL2 is "Adizero SL2". As humphrey623 mentioned, it's a really good neutral training shoes. I rate it similar to Noosa Tri. Great value as it can be had for less than $100 on sale.

    • +13

Most of their running models are trash at this point. Looking at what’s available in the outlet: Boston 12 would be OK for a daily and Adios Pro 4 for a road racing shoe. Takumi Sen 10 for speed work, depending on the shape of your foot and what part of your foot you land on at speed.

Stay away from anything that sounds like Duramo, Runfalcon, or Galaxy.

    • +2

I've tried many of the Adidas shoes and from their cheaper shoes, the Supernova Rise 2 is an excellent daily trainer, with great cushioning, above average energy return and good durability.
As mentioned before, the EVO SL's are one of my favourite running shoes ever and they have adequate durability considering the price, my first pair is just over 500km and is still going strong, I've got a second pair to replace it when the foam goes dead.
The Adios Pro 3 is probably the longest lasting marathon race shoe you can get, mine has got over 400km and still feels and looks new, it probably feels better now than it did when new.

    • +1

Boston 12 and 13, Evo SL (though they are a bit unstable)
If you can wing it (and find size) Prime X strung 2… Most durable shoe out there. You won't be able to wear them out. Actually good value if you take exceptional durability into consideration, not to mention they perform great as well.

If you want cheap get Boston 12, even from source other than adidas, but 1/2 size down compared to your asics size for sure in them.
EVO sl and Prime X Strung 2 are true to size.
Haven't yet tried Boston 13 but probably true to size due to more padding than the 12.

Anyone know if live better rewards vouchers work fine for this?

    • I have the same question
T&Cs for the medibank promotion say "Voucher Codes are not valid for use in conjunction with any other codes, offers, discounts, promotions or vouchers, unless otherwise advised by adidas."
I think this means you can't buy sale items… but not sure.
      https://www.adidas.com.au/help/pac-competitions-and-offers/T…

    • +1

As long as the discount is automatic deducted. If you need to add a code in to get the additional discount, then no.

    • +2

Did this but the 30% discount got removed as soon as i added my voucher code

  • -4

This has already started instore from at least Friday(8th).

    • +18

      And you didn't post it?

      • -2

I don't feel the need to post every deal I see

        • +4

How many deals did you see on that day?

          • +2

@freeb1e4me: I don't buy Adidas (for myself), so I didn't even consider it a 'deal' as such.
Yes there were cheap items, but since I don't shop there regularly enough, I wouldn't be able to tell you if it was a good price or not

            • @SuiCid3: Fair enough. It’s going to be another sale with unfavourable colours and sizes anyway

    • Shopback already started at time posting.

  • Do they have free shipping?

    • +4

apparently if you sign up for Adi club, yes you get free delivery and returns

Wear adidas to look like Niko

    • who niko?

Niko Bellic (Serbian: ŠŠøŠŗŠ¾ Белић; Niko Belić) is the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto IV

Can anyone recommend good walking shoes? Have a trip to Japan next month where we'll be doing a lot of walking so looking for something that's comfortable and durable. Cheers

    • -8

I have worn Adidas shoes exclusively since learning to walk and, despite hysterical panic from the woke hive mind, thus far none have caught fire. Make of that what you will.

      • +1

        Wow that was super helpful.

    • I wore an older version of these:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911540

      Highly recommended.
Don't know what the technical term is, but it has a lot of bounce? So the impact from walking is not so harsh on the feet.

I haven't tried on many Adidas models, but I but the ones I have didn't have the same feel as these Pumas

    • Probably doesn’t answer the question in relation to adidas but I’ve purchased asic tigers in Japan and they are so comfy to walk in!!

    • +1

Adidas dna 1.0 ultraboost this is supreme comfort if you want more durability go the low non goretex adidas free hiker 2.0. Another shoe that hits both marks of comfort and durability is the teva trailwinder shoe i have the black ands its super good to.

  • +1

Anyone know if I can use the Medibank issue adidas gc with these specials?

    • Nope, you aren't allow to use gift card or discount code for anything with discount.
Used to allow with gift card but Adidas make it painful so the gift card will only work on full price item.

    • +1

      Same question for me.

It is very challenging to launder crappy medibank point redemption offers.

      • +1

You can redeem $200 and $100 premium payment every year.

  • Is there ever a way to get supershoes with these/cashback?

  • Are there any "wide" or normal width Adidas shoes?

    • +1

I'm 2E width and I rarely find wide shoes that goes on sale. I wear US9.5 and going US10 usually do the trick for me with Adidas. There are some shoes that are just designed to be very narrow, so you will have to keep that in mind too. New Balance is usually my go to for wide shoes. Lots of choices even in the clearance section.

      • New Balance is usually my go to for wide shoes

Checks out, NB is the fat middle-aged man's shoe of choice šŸ˜›

  • any hiking shoes with good grip?

  • Still waiting extra 40% cash back code

  • Is this 30% everything normally? And is it also in-store? I have an ultimate gift card i want to use but it only works in store for adidas apparently.

  • +5

ShopBack have 30% off cashback as well by the looks of it

    • Thank you. I did the purchase through shop back

    • +2

Did the cash back track? Seems to be for items specifically on a page marked as cash back only, and not site wide?

      • Yes it did track

        • Tracking looks to be a bit slow

    • +2

      Capped at $25 per order.

  • +6

They jacked the prices, at least on the really cheap sneakers - notably more expensive now pre-discount than they were last week.

    • Just checked a few and definitely the case. One still has RRP of $180 at JD but it's now $200 at Adidas.

  • Discount is not appearing for me at checkout (11/08/2025 09:19 AM). Anyone else getting this?

    • outlet only

      • Thank you for looking. Staying on the outlet site but no luck. I'll try from different computer later. šŸ‘

  • I'm seeing up to 30% cashback on Shopback as well

  • I only found some socks that were ozbargain worthy… most of the runners are cheap if you happen to fit the remaining sizes.

  • Medibank voucher be used for the sale items?

  • Thanks mate, returning shoes and bought again at cheaper price!

  • Does this stack with UniDAYS 15%?

  • Cheers OP, got some toddler shoes for the little guy, shopback tracked with $25 off my total price

    • % cashback? I am only seeing 14% on Shopback

      • +1

it was 30% last night, with $25 cap

  • I'd like to get a casual white pair that I can also wear at golf, I previously bought the Lite Racer model but they let in too much water - does anyone know how to tell which mesh is water resistant and which just lets water straight in? For example, if you're walking through grass with dew, your feet will eventually become quite wet in the Lite Racer.

  • How long before Shopback tracked for you guys? 6+ hrs - Hasn't tracked for me yet

    • +1

      28hrs and waiting..

      • No track after 48hrs, request submitted, pending

    • +1

Purchased at 11:10am yesterday, received tracking email 16 mins afterwards.

    • +1

All my purchases didn't track. And when I go to check the clicks, it says no purchase found. Tried to make a claim but it errors telling me to try again later.

  • @tightarse the Android topcashback app 13.0.3 crashes when I open it. Any tips?

    • +1

Yep, known issue with Android v13.0.3 that was pushed via a phased release to a small percentage of members recently. Team is aware and hopefully going to be fixed overnight (UK time) with a new version to be released to the Play Store. In the meantime, please use a mobile or desktop browser. Cheers.

      • +1

        Alright thanks for the details.

        • Hi again. v13.0.3 (build 791) has just been released to the Play Store which should resolve your issues. Cheers.

  • Thank you! Pair of $200 Gazelle’s for $87 (after cashback).

Used ShopBack 30% for the additional $25 and tracking registered within an hour (ordered via their App, iPhone).

  • Placed an order on Wed 13 Aug and still hasn’t shipped? Says estimated delivery is 23-24 Aug but don’t know how when it hasn’t shipped.
Complained to live chat a couple of days ago and they gave me a 20% off code for full priced items. Not exactly helpful. Anyone else in the same boat?

    • My order of $220 of stuff just got cancelled. I’m pretty disappointed.

      • Damn. Sorry to hear. Doesn’t give me much hope for mine…

    • Updates: I contacted livechat on Wed 20 August and got the above response.
Called in today (25 August - estimated delivery date has passed) and no better news. Item I purchased is still showing in stock. Agent was unable to provide an update as to when it will be shipped or estimated delivery. I asked for expedited shipping, they said there is no option.
She said the livechat agent has followed up with the warehouse team twice and nothing further can be done, and they will update me as soon as they have an update. My concerns as to whether it will ever be shipped fell on deaf ears.
In light of feedback by other customers below, think this deal needs to be update to reflect poor customer experiences by multiple people.

      • +2

Order cancelled this morning - reason "we have identified we cannot fulfill your order". Refund will be provided within 2-3 business days. So they just took my money for two and a bit weeks. The item I purchased is still showing as in stock.
Their only consolation is to offer a 25% off voucher on full priced items… Equivalent sales at other retailers have ended and now I'm left in the lurch.

They really need to manage their stock system. I find it ridiculous they can cancel an order due to stocking issues and still have the same item showing in stock on their website.

  • +2

    Whole order just got cancelled

    • +1

My order got cancelled as well, even the item still in stock

      • +1

Me three! How frustrating. Item also still in stock..

  • Yeap, mine too only after I asked customer support when the delivery days came and went. This is the second time this has happened in 2 months after another order I made in July had the same fate. Not sure what is goin on with their stock systems
