Help Me Decide on a 65" TV Please

Hey all. I've read a lot of the forum posts and bargains on here but still can't get my head around TV technology, model numbers etc so come to the forums for your advice to tell me what tv to buy.

I missed out on the 65c8k deal start of July as we had just signed a contract to buy our first family home. So now that it has settled we are in a position to buy a new tv.

The loungeroom is quite dark as the house is made from brick, internal and external walls. There is a sliding door near where the tv will be however the house is dark because of the bricks, no paint and lack of natural light.

I have 4 kids. 10, 8, 4 and 2 so most tv is going to be streamed.
Currently FTTN but will be upgrading to FTTP and then will be able to stream in 4k.
Budget under 2k preferably.

I have access to ggc, jb hi commercial, union shopper, reward gateway.

The lowest price I can get the 65c8k is $2080 pickup through union shopper. Is there other TV's around this price that are bang for buck at the moment? Or should I keep holding off until black friday?

Thanks all

Not a Sony, good for a year or two and then they become unusable because the interface gets so slow.

    • lol my X90 is 5 years old, you heard of a Apple TV, who uses interface their all trash.

    • Not a Sony

My Sony still going strong after 25 years.

      • Mines surprisingly still doing well after 15 years too.

    • I recognise a genuine sorny when I see one

You might break the tv if you are on it while making a decision.

  • I have an Aldi bauhn TV .

It works . Does what I need.

    Inexpensive

The C7K and C8K go on special fairly frequently, just keep an eye out (eg. 65C7K was $1100 earlier in the week although limited areas and maybe a price error).

There is not a huge difference between the two so probably just make a decision when one goes on sale.

TCL C7K is probably best bang for buck.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I ended up getting the 65c8k for $1975.05 delivered. Apparently that is only $20 over staff price.
