Thanks for this, I didn't do the last deal because it was red and I wanted black. I later kicked myself not just getting the red. Grabbed this and very happy!

    • Fouiyohhh always happy to help!

  • A reminder to read and follow our title guidelines. In particular, please refrain from using exclamation mark unless it is part of a name.. You can find the edit button on the submenu located between the deal title and your user name.

Thanks - great deal, just what I needed

Great price! I'm jumping on this

having 12 pictures where the weber isn't actually open in any of them makes me irrationally angry

    • +2

Literally came here to comment that, I'm glad someone beat me to it.

  • Do these get hot enough to cook a pizza? My old bbq, which just put out to hard rubbish, would get to 300ish

    • Gets to 315 according to Weber

Title should say LPG not LPQ

  • I got the Red one in the last deal to replace our old babyq and the tweaks have definitely made it more efficient. Just beware that if you have the older trolley this new model will sit on top of it well but won’t secure into position. Doesn’t bother me as we don’t move it, very happy with it.

  • Tried to use code but doesn't work

    • Make sure it's not in lowercase, as code is case-sensitive

  • Thanks, all good now.

    No thermometer on lid

    • Think of the thermometer on the lid as decorative. It’s not useful for actually knowing the temperature of your food or the cooking surface.

      • Really? Not useful at all?
So do you recommend using a probe?

        • Yep a probe in the meat is the best option.

You can get one that connects to a display outside the BBQ, this is the best option as it prevents having to open the lid and affect the cooking process.

Or you can get a simple handheld probe, these are pretty cheap and easy to use.

          • @Nuggets: probe in the meat is the best option. Excuse me 😅

  • There is a gas connection/fitting on the outside wall of my house in the backyard, will this connect straight to it ? House was built in 2001

    • Heard there’s a conversion kit for these but don’t know much about it.

    • The gas connection is "natural gas", while this works off LPG. So it's not directly compatible. You'd need to convert it which may or may not be expensive.

    • WA town gas is LPG…. I'm sure it's statewide?

      But good question

      • WA gas in cities in Natural. Unless you have an lpg gas tank then it's natural lol. Do you ever read your bill?

        • We definitely have LPG, not NG

When we had new gas oven fitted earlier this year, it had to be converted on install
Our last house had the outside connection for the BBQ

Perth metro might be NG, but we're definitely on LPG

    This or Weber Q 2600N+?

Obviously the 2600N+ is bigger, but does it give me more versatility over smaller size? Is the smoker box worth it?

    $456 with code.

    • +2

I have one and it's fantastic. The larger size is big enough to cook anything while being portable enough to take with me if needed.

But the killer feature is the second burner which makes slow cooking a breeze. Also produces a nice sear if needed.

I've got a generic smoker box, but at that clearance price the weber box looks good.

    • I originally purchased the Baby Q yesterday, but after dwelling on it I ended up swapping for the 2600N+, managed to get down to a final price $411 delivered.

Guessing that the promo code isn't supposed to stack with a price beat though as I had some issues convincing the staff to apply that.

      • +1

Yep. I went from not thinking of a bbq, to seeing this, to now set on waiting for a deal on the 2800N+. It was on sale a couple of months ago, hopefully again soon.

        • +2

The lid thermometer is not a reliable tool to use in cooking so I wouldn’t make that a relevant point in your decision on the 2600 versus the 2800. Electric (battery operated) vs piezo ignition is a matter of preference, faster light of course with electric but then need to replace the batteries. Lids are the same height as per the Weber website.

          • @Nuggets: Yeah, i saw your previous post about it, so it was more the starter. When googling it seemed to be a no brainer to go the electric. What’s the difference?

            • @Morien: Piezo you get one spark per button push. The spark is produced by your pushing of the button so no batteries needed.

Electric you hold the button down and it goes repeatedly until the flame catches. So if you’re lazy get the electric

    • How did you get it to 456? Won't let me input the payday code, only price check.

Edit: nvm. I should probably read better. Code is case sensitive.

  • Any recommendations for after market thermostats to install onto lid? Are ebay ones reliable?

    • +1

Grab one of those wireless inkbird ones. I picked mine up for about 60 bucks and it's great watching the cook on my phone.

  • Side tables are an optional extra vs Q1200
    Lower lid than the Q1200
    No temp gauge vs Q1200
    No electronic ignition vs Q1200

Think these are the only differences?
Are they a compromise? Or worth saving on?

    • I would go to for the Q1200
All these extras make a difference when I go camping.
      - lower lid would make it more compact to travel.
      - temp gauge perfect for that camping roast
      - side tables great for having things off the ground
      - electronic ignition is handy as well. If is not as faulty as the previous older model.
I have the older model and had to upgrade to the above features separately. Including drilling on lid to add the temp gauge.

  • These don't fit standard 9kg gas bottles do they?

    • +1

Why wouldn't it? Our is hooked up to the smaller gas bottle, but works totally fine… You just need to get the newer style connector piece

    • Gas bottles with LCC27 connector is required for all new BBQs sold after 2022. Gas bottles with LCC27 have an external thread and have black valve handles.

  • +1

    Thanks mate grabbed one!

  • It only goes down to $303 with both price beat and PAYDAY

    • Shame, you've missed it :(
