AliExpress Saver

AliExpress have a membership program (formally AliExpress VIP) for a monthly fee that gives you monthly coupons worth US$48, exclusive prices and 24/7 live chat support (useful for disputes). Often they will have this dirt cheap for first time subscribers. Available from the AliExpress app on the homepage.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate.

Sweet time to get a 5700x3d………oh wait :-(

    • Feelsbadman. But hey the 5700X is only around $160

    • So none around for less than $300?

clear always follows this post up with a bargain Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro deal.

Unless quill gets to it first 😝

      • Yeah keen to get my hands on a tablet, give me some warning next time they sold out too fast

If all goes well just after 5pm on the 18th.

Having just got mine today from the last deal, I'm now looking for the keyboard cheap.

One of my saved ones reckons its upcoming sale price will be $104, which is cheaper than I've seen it since I've been looking, but not sure what a good price for one is.

  • +1

Anyone bought from AliExpress any (good) quality Adventure/Offroad Motorcycle Gear? (jackets, pants, etc?).

    • +4

I've bought a few, jackets, pants & protection gear. I got a few years use from a Duhan jacket & pants, they were decent quality. I've also been happy with knee and elbow protectors, I can lookup the brand/model if you're interested.

  • crossing fingers and toes for another 7800x3d deal

Hopefully a sale on one of the genuine R36s too.

    • I'm hoping for a good deal on the x55. It's been out for almost 2 years now so, if I can get it for 70-80 bucks it'll be good.

      • +1

I bought one about 2 years ago for $80 and during the last sale they had them for $64. Like i always say add them to your cart and watch the prices change and you will see the sale prices too in most cases. That's how i have bought over 30 handhelds from them so far.

        • nice tip! I'll give it a go.

          • @srshk: No problems, works for everything. It's how I have been buying stuff from them for the past 8 years now.

    • +1

what's the problem with the clone one?

      • Nothing but people like to tinker.

  • Cheap NAS deal please.

    • Im int he same boat. Still in the market for a back up NAS as Ive had terrible experiences with the aoostar sellers. Purchased twice and had to refund as seller wouldnt ship to me as i live in rural area.

Made a new account, changed address slightly, seller shipped and sadly i had a DOA item and had to send it back :(

      Brutal

      • We'll have to wait for Aoostar on Amazon to go on sale. The WTR Max normal price is pretty close.

  • This likely to make any decent deals for Reolink gear? On the lookout for a few cams, looks like historically the best deals have come from stacking this sort of bargain.

    • Following as I'd like some indoor cams

@Clear you should mention in the post description that after joining Team OzBargain in the Cashback Challenge members should visit the team page for daily activities to earn bonus points and help reach higher tiers faster.

    • I hadn't noticed that. Must be new!

  • Can anyone recommend a PCIe M.2 NVMe adapter?

  • What has happened to the Aliexpress return policy lately. It was easy and straightforward before. Yesterday I tried to return an item with a free return tag on their page. However, end up it showed me to drop the item to post office and pay $9 for the drop. I contacted the support but haven't received a free return label yet. Frustrated.

    • Free returns in that you pay for the postage and they'll refund you. I know with their membership program you get 3-5 free return labels a month. Sucky I know.

      • No, they give you an address in Hong Kong and ask you to send it there then they'll refund you on it's arrival. Completely unworkable now obviously.

        • Yes that's what I said. You pay for postage and they'll refund you - in other words "free" returns. Dodgy wording I know.

For VIP/saver it's just an Auspost label you print out.

          • +2

@Clear: "choice" items also get Auspost label, at least that what they gave me when I tried return something.

            • @chanhoz: Yeah I thought choice items still fine local returns unless something had changed?

          • @Clear: Not the part where you ship to Hong Kong instead of a local warehouse, which would at least be trackable and have a reasonable fee.

  • Good deal as my wish list items also will be reduced

  • Hm Soyo M4 Pro will be $116 during sale

New road bike here I come.

    • Which frame and wheel set?

      • Best of the budget wheelsets on AliExpress is probably Tagoola. For frame I would pick BXT or SP Cycle, but depends on what you're looking for.

      • Elite Wheels ENT-Disc 2.0 and TFSA JH-01.

  • Mobile phone deal anyone?

  • Hope Clear can post some good mini tablet deals

    • +2

The Alldocube iPlay 50 Mini Pro is good value at US$88.68 for 128GB storage or US$99.76 for 256GB storage before discounts. I've linked it in previous deals instead of posting (as Hipho recently discovered) because the store feedback is at 93% and OzBargain only allows >95% feedback.

Downsides to this one? Android 13 and no Widevine L1 afaik.

      • +1

Thanks Clear, I own the iplay 50 mini (non pro) that I got for around $95 aud but already thinking of getting something more premium

        • +1

Normally in the 8" space you'll have the Lenovo Xiaoxin variants with the higher end Snapdragon variants. They get pretty costly.

Has anyone bought any good canvas zip up camping bags they would recommend? My current Coles chiller bags are a disintegrating. Last time I checked on Ali the prices went up from ~$5 to $30+ per bag in the check out

  • Something I had in my cart for $283 has just jumped in price to $344. Is this in anticipation of this discount deal? If so, they are cheating people…

    • Price jacking can happen with some sellers unfortunately. They may increase the price before the sale and lower it once it starts.

  • Can anyone recommend a smart ring? Don't want to spend $150 at Kogan!

    • +1

I’m happy with my Colmi R02. I’ve tried a couple of other rings, but the apps were crap. This is my second R02 after losing the first, which was also good. Battery lasts 2-3 days, heart rate and steps count are usually within about 10% of my smartwatch and phone (steps only). They are typically around US$10-15.

  • Where do the cashback credits land? I purchased something during the first cashback promotion last month but can't find anything on my cashback and I'm pretty sure I joined up.

    • Account > Shopping credits. Valid for 30 days from issue.

      • Found it. Thanks

        • Wow 30 days, mine expired from June I had $3

  • These make no sense, it says $10 off $69 USD

I have $83 USD before shipping before GST and it says not enough in the cart.

    • They're all sale banner products? Ineligible items for coupon usage will have the coupon section under the price missing that when clicked on show all available codes.

      • OH that's why, okay thanks for clarifying.

        • Yeah it's a bit shit. I'm pretty sure most of those end up being Big Save products. The sellers only take a hit for cashback and not the AliExpress coupons so they should be a part of it.

  • Dammit, was racing to checkout and didn’t realise even though it said the total was $212 USD, checkout with Apple Pay ended up being $251 USD.

Oh well, CPU I bought still cheaper than stores here in AU.

    • Anyone tried to fight with support to get the right price?

  • So many things are "buy now" only.

    • +2

This trick should work (only on PC). It works for me on Buy Now and Pre-Order only items:
      -Add item to your wishlist.
-Go to your wishlist, and find the item. Press the 'Added to Cart' button.
It should then come up with a window allowing you to add to cart.

Is cashback valid if we use the coupon code?

    • +1

      Worked for me

  • When trying to use AUWS70, I get "Sorry, the coupon code you entered is based on a first come first served basis and has been used up by other shoppers. Please enter a different coupon code or explore other discounts on AliExpress."

    • +1

      What about the other one?

      • Ah I didn't see there were two codes per discount, the other works fine.

  • Why are some item buy now and I can’t add to my cart? Relatively new to AliExpress

    • not 100% sure
likely so you can't mix items to use bigger coupons
      fixed coupon strategy

  • How we feeling about Retroid pocket 5?

  • Just put through an order using AUAF23 cheers

edit: Almost $20 cashback tracking too, which will be nice

  • There were some items which originally were valid for these codes ($40) a few hours ago and now instead shows a store coupon banner ($7 ish), which I did redeem cause I thought I could use both at one time, but now refuses to apply the $40 code because of existing discounts, even if I remove the $7 one lol

  • AUAF40 expired?

Sorry, the coupon code you entered is based on a first come first served basis and has been used up by other shoppers. Please enter a different coupon code or explore other discounts on AliExpress.

  • Is there a way to see what coupon was used on an existing order?

Managed to get a Jonsbo D32 Pro computer case for $31 AUD - here in Aus it’s around $80 (but scarce), had originally ordered it at $70 but cancelled when I noticed this.

Edit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009523116957.html if anyone wants one, not sure of the coupon to get the discount down to $20 USD.

  • Thanks for putting this information up in one area because I just found out you can only use the coupons once even if you clicked collect in multiple areas of the app.

I tried buying more and my order was closed and it states I used the coupon more than once.

I wish this was publicised more properly inside the app, but I think I've already used all the lower coupons for this round.

  • Does the team cashback only track for purchases made through the app or also for desktop web browsers too?

    • both

      • Thanks can also confirm it actually came through pretty quickly like a day after. Versus the local cashback merchants lol.

        • yup you get it once the item ships
          expires after 30 days though

          • @sntc: Just surprised they aren't worried about refunds or lost and undelivered orders. Like the tiniest breeze will typically render CB/SB getting rejected lol. Guess Aliexpress is more just treating it like a discount coupon code.

  • Code AUWS46 for orders over AU$300 confirmed working this morning. It says it's valid until 28/08, like the others, so it's probably "first come first served" too.

  • +3

If you have any deal requests please let me know. I've been messaging heaps of stores to squeeze out some better discounts 😏😏

  • Any suggestion on a Yeelight night light?

  • Is the limit one of any coupon per account or one of each coupon per account?

    • +1

Each code is usually 1 per account
