  • What's this about

International roaming, SMS/MMS to overseas numbers, directory assistance and SMS to premium numbers are not included with your plan but can be purchased using different Extras packs. You cannot make calls to premium numbers using our services.

    • wtf is a premium number?

1800 are toll free, not premium. Premium numbers are things like reality TV voting, competition entry…

Currently, the offer from Vodafone is better for me. It is $199 for 300GB, 365 days:

In addition, there is a 25% cashback from cashrewards.

      And 5g…. Better deal yes.

Poor regional coverage is the issue that is still very much there despite claims of improved coverage.

      • Is Optus better than vodaphone for coverage? I know Telstra is still known as the best but I don't see them getting compared.

Apart from coverage maps and marketing information, it depends on where exactly you are. Telstra is the best for me and many others but quite a few people find Optus better for them. Although if you never leave the metropolitan areas, Vodafone might work just as well. The only way to know for sure is to test them out yourself or check with others who go exactly where you go.

I've always said it's just marketing on Telstra's behalf, and unless you go really really regional, you'll be fine. I used Optus and would drive from Perth to Bunbury and never lose reception. So thinking the whole coverage thing was a non-issue, I moved to Vodafone a year ago. It's crap. There are outdoor deadspots all over inner suburbs. Next week I move back to OnePass (Optus). Maybe it was the 3G shutdown and they're all worse now though?

  • Is this the best I can get for an iPad that can only do 4G anyway?
Anyone know if it costs to port out of Amaysim?
