I see the sale is up and the microserver is $298 shipped, but no one has posted yet…

You're not out of rep posts are you, why you no post mista shot?

      • Just getting the rest of the page up. We had more in store than just the HP (which is 4GB btw). I will add a few more things over the next hour or so, just needed to get it up so we didn't miss the rush.

        • S'all good, thought someone would have spotted and jumped on it depriving you of the opportunity.

I did miss the fact the N54L was 4GB, good deal. You might find that some will be happy with the 2GB it comes with or want to take it to 8GB, options in that department might not be a bad idea if you're able to give them as I expect you will be asked. Looking closer, I see you do in fact have an 8GB option as well, but don't be surprised if you get asked about shipping as-is with 2GB, maybe add that at the price you've already mentioned, $289?

I just got my N54L and stuck in two Transcend JM1333KLH-8G sticks and she's gliding along fabulously. It's not ECC but for home use it's irrelevant - we've all been getting along without ECC for quite some time now so I don't see it being an issue.

Maybe some cheap(er) WD RED's to go along with the microserver as well? Yeah? No? Meh. It's a pity you don't stock more range as a lot will avoid the reds, as good as they are, because of the pricepoint.

  • can some1 plz gimme a quick heads up on what's all the fuss regarding these units?

is it yoir own personal cloud storage so you can access your files anywhere? or is it more than that?

    • It's a cheap, small, server-grade box that can hold up to 5 drives. If you get four 3TB drives, you end up with 8.6TB of storage space.

  • I'm just now in the market for a new microserver, too. But - still only USB2? That's kind of a deal breaker, for my case at least. And VGA only? Not sure I even have a VGA-capable monitor anymore… DVI minimum.

    • Less than $50 bucks for the ATI6450 and your HTPC is ready :)

  • Wooohhhh!!! I've finally bought one. Cheers Flingshot
