Hi all, long time member, so recently there has been much activity with mini PC's. I have 2 ageing (like 10 year old) full machines that I want to replace with mini PC's or some thing I can Vesa mount. only a few requirements is that it will need to take 2x 10tb drives in a raid config don't care what ff and another drive for the os. must be able to output over hdmi. looking for recommendations and advise the community seems to be Tech/alcohol focused these days, so thought you might have some recommendations. Price wise cheaper the better but there seems to be so many varieties of mini PC's it's hard to know what to go for.
advice appreciated
cheers

Don't think you can get 10tb ssd yet so it'd have to be 3.5" drives and I haven't seen any mini PCs that can take that but they're probably out there.
OP, rather than buying 4x 10tb drives have you considered a NAS? You could then get vesa mount mini PCs easily and just have the NAS handle all the storage for both.
Don't think you can get 10tb ssd yet
You can, but you can't afford it.
https://www.techradar.com/best/large-hard-drives-and-ssds
Largest SSD announced Kioxia LC9 at 245.76 TB
Largest SSD available now Solidigm D5-P5336 at 122.88 TB
Largest HDD available now is the Seagate Exos M at 36TB.
Yep and many pc's used to have a 2tb, then 6tb bios limit. Hence my requirements.
thank you will check it out!
"don't care what ff and another drive for the is." wot.
OS? not is?
yes apologies, that was meant to be os.
Thank you I will look into it.
2x 10tb drives in a raid config
unless they are nvme, no.
Your post is hard to follow and rambling. I suggest using bullet points.
It sounds like you're looking for a mini PC that can take 2x10tb drives?
Given that 10TB drives are 3.5" form factor, two of them will be the size of a mini PC by themselves and kinda defeats the purpose.I think what you're really looking for is a mini-NAS. But it won't be VESA mountable.
Thank you, It's not that hard to follow, but if you can't then that is ok.
Bwahaha. Your insufferable. Youve been called out twice (now three times) for your rambling post.
I'm disappointed you've received help because clearly you don't really deserve it
In terms of nas's yes I have thought about this, the only thing is it's not hidden behind anything as generally they are bigger and can't be mounted behind a monitor, and that is why i ask the question of the forum. If I wanted a general mini pc I'd just pick up an nuc but this is for a specific application.
Having 2x 10tb hdd's kinda defeats the purpose of a mini PC. May as well get a desktop PC. Or are referring to SSD's? This one does have 2 nvme slots (which you can upgrade) and is relatively cheap: https://www.amazon.com.au/BOSGAME-P4-Computers-Windows-Pro/d…
