For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA

  • If only a tax invoice was possible lol

      Just use the bank transaction?

    • +1

Download invoice via Order details and it'll be emailed.

      • With GST?

        • All the invoices I've downloaded from aliexpress include the GST amount. Mostly they'll be in CNY or maybe USD though.

For tax purposes, I print out the order details (as a pdf), save the bank statement, as well as downloading the invoice, and keep that in my records.

        • It'll have the tax information and includes their ATO number required for overseas companies.

  • What do you use a 10 inch monitor for?

They're small enough to fit under a monitor (at normal height), so use them for … whatever you want to display - slack, discord, youtube, music player, etc. Also useful for in-case displays (i.e. if you have a glass panel) to display system stats, or zip-tied to your server rack for a cheap monitor when you need to debug something on your headless servers.

For a portable display used with a laptop, I prefer either 14" or 16" to match the laptop.

Good for new windows setup. Sometimes I just want to get the OS installed before moving proper monitors etc onto it.

  • Anyone know of a touch version around 10 inch in size with similar resolution?

thanks for posting, just bought a 2nd. Great little monitor for a second screen for chat, CCTV, or even older games that are 5:4 or 4:3, 1024x768 and 1280x960 look really quite nice on this due to it's size.

  • It looks like there's a slightly cheaper listing here for a different brand, it might even be the same product: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007856892880.html

    • yeah i got that one in the past

  • Using the deal link it only let me use like 24 coins at checkout.

If I went to the AliExpress homepage though and then selected the "Coins" link, the same monitor was the first recommended item for me, and I was able to buy it for the same price but now using 422 coins.

Combined with cashback from previous purchase only ended up paying US18.90 for this one, thanks Clear :)

  • Recently got a similar, small side-screen for my gaming rig, but it's always staying off when I turn on the PC. When I unplug and plug the USB-C cable back in, it works. Any ideas how to make it turn on whenever Windows boots? I already played around with Bios options around USB power…
