  • PS: Bundle deal usually has a higher Tax/GST than 10%.

Yup but usually it’s still lower than buying outside of the bundle deal section

      • I've seen deals where the bundle price items are much cheaper than what is single item cost, even if its choice or not, but codes usually dont stack with bundle codes? why does this? also any cashback site has this code? so we can stack further :)

        • I’ve already used the code and cashback has landed in my TCB account

            • @PS2isBetterthanPS3: Used the code this morning and TopCashback tracked in 8 minutes. The US$3 covered the extra incorrect GST charged.

              • @trixieb: how much GST is charged on bundle items? is it due to paying with USD?

                • @PS2isBetterthanPS3: Based on an actual/inflated price

                  • @HunterDes: oh scam, that sucks!!!!

                    • @PS2isBetterthanPS3: GST charge would vary depending on your item and discount amount. GST seems to be incorrectly charged on the original price before the discount. Bundle deals are more heavily discounted than other items so the GST charged could be up to 15%-30% instead of 10%.

I've bought non-bundle items that are not discounted and GST is correct at 10%. Don't think it's much of a difference with the currency option for the GST calculation.

The AliExpress GST error isn't unique to Australia. I read complaints from people in other countries that have a sales tax and they are also charged more than the sales tax.

I replied to this on another thread.
Based on my experience with eBay and the occasional tax invoices I received from domestic sellers (where the tax invoice doesn't reflect the actual amount I paid after coupon code), I think GST is calculated on what the seller supposedly receives, including shipping if shipped by them.
For example, an item's price is $20 plus shipping of $5.
Then there's a store discount of $1 off $10 spend, and 2% off with coins that's paid by the store ($0.40).
      So the store gets 20 + 5 - 1 - 0.4 = $23.60. Then the GST is $2.36.

AliExpress may offer further discounts of $2 off $19 spend, and 28% off with coins ($5.60) so total 30% off with coins. These are supposedly paid by AliExpress.

      So in the end you pay 23.60 - 2 - 5.60 = $16 + $2.36 GST = $18.36.

How much the seller receives is shown in the tax invoice.

  • I only just made an order of 15 before the upsized cashback ended 😅😅

    • its 20% @ TCB US btw :)

With the exception of one person people always complain that they reject coupons.

These AliExpress codes don’t work with Bundle Deals items

I find that if you "collect" these codes beforehand, then they'll auto apply even on Bundle Deals.

    • I didn’t know this workaround works, thanks!

Small hack: search and open the item you want, preferably more than one listing, then open Bundles and that item (or something similar) will probably be there, at the much reduced Bundle price.

Big hack: use the AliExpress app, which actually has a search bar for bundles, and just search for the item you are looking for. Add it to your cart then finish off the transaction on desktop for more cashback/etc if you want.

      • I thought you needed to add the item to cart after clicking through cashback for it to track. Is that not the case?

  • wow I saved a whole $3
