Absolutely loving my P1S with AMS2 from last deal. So far only regrets are buying too many nozzles when 0.4 seems great for everything. And stocking up on filament refills not realising once they are on the spool I can't take them off, meaning only 4 colours in use until they are empty or I buy more spools…

    • Buy or print out the spools

      • I only got PLA currently and have seen lots of those melted from the AMS2… So buy is the choice but spool holder is like $16 on own

        • +3

          Get some JAYO/SUNLU PETG

        • +2

print more stuff, you'll get more empty spools!

  • +3

X1C seems overkilled for me. Looking for P1S for completely new beginners like me.

    • +1

I did discover a benefit of X1C for n00bs. Dynamic flow calibration. I have a P1S and also just bought A1 Mini and was surprised to find it more advanced than the P1S in a few ways, including DFC. The manual calibration on P1S is a bit annoying. But only because I've opted to buy so many non-Bambu filalents that don't have available print profiles.

But then maybe you want to consider Flashforge AD5X also. Looks a pretty killer entry level printer. Bests the P1S in some ways (no external AMS needed - albeit open air spools, and inbuilt AMS can handle TPU unlike Bambu). Worth consideration. Currently discounted.

      • "Currently discounted" - that is the regular price.

        • Actually I thought I found a better price but just realised it is ex GST so not better.

          • @bteq: the price with the frequent ebay codes is the standard price

    Waiting for P1S deals

  • +10

For those wanting P1S, the next deal will most likely be Black Friday.

As expected, Bambu has adjusted pricing after the anniversary sale.
For those that missed out on the sale, the difference for some printers is not too much (e.g. $50 for A1 Combo)

X1CC was 1599 today. Gotta update your table. And the link to X1Cs are all showing 404 now.

      • That table shows price after the July anniversary sale, not the current flash sale.

X1CC is sold out, still available at the $1799 when going through the normal nav

  • +2

They're probably clearing stock of the X1C for their new H1 printer.

    • Update: The new H2S will be announced on the 27th August. Should be a great printer, let's see what the pricing will be.

  • +1

How annoying. I spoke to someone on their website 1 day ago before I bought my X1c combo with ams2 pro and asked if any sale was coming up and she said no sale is coming up….

Could have had 2x ams (one ams and one ams 2 pro) for only $87 more, by adding an ams2 pro and the hub onto the $1599 deal and save $$400.

    • +2

Ask them about it. Not in Australia but when I bought just before sale they gave me a gift card for the site for the difference in price

      • +3

I did an they offerrd me a $50 discount coupon. But i want $400 or close to it.

Other option is to return it and then reorder at the sale. Which im thinking of dong. Cause 400 is quite a bit to lose on.

        • worth the return & rebuy at a $400 difference

          • @3dprintdeals: They have been pretty unhelpful. Saying that its a different product.
So I lost the chance to get 2ams for about $87 more than I paid for a single.

Pain in the ass to deal and no one was helpful, all because customer service didnt tell me a sale was happening when I asked 2 days before the sale happened.

        • I think it is worth it as long as the difference is more than $50.

    • +2

I remember they have a 14-day price guarantee

      • Where does it say this? I cant find it.

      • maybe on the anniversary & black Friday sales but it's not part of this flash sale. Usually it would state in the T&C.

  • Not really any deals well certainly nothing worth writing home about.

There are now numerous manufacturers nipping at there heals and way cheaper.

    • +4

kinda half agree. But, after 7 years of other printers, buying, building, tinkering, i'm really enjoying the bambu 'just works' experience. Heck, just realised i needed a DIN rail mount for a Shelly EM….2 minutes searching on Bambu handy and one's printing in PETG right now whilst i'm watching it remotely on Home assistant. It'll be ready by the time i'm home!

      • That's what I heard from another friend also.

Bambu if noob. Yes I'm noob.

      • I use maker world, just downloaded and put in in your slicer.

Bambu is very much the iPhone of the 3d printer world. Locked down but works used one used them all.

A1's are great but most people don't need to print engineering materials so why go a p1s let alone a X1?

My ELEGOO Centauri carbon has been punching above it's weight. 95% of my prints are single colour. Its faster then works x1c's and prints are as good if not better.

My Kobra S1 is 8 colour but just use it for filament storage really.

        Id grab a p1s before I bought the X1.

The sleeper here is the filament pricing - With Siddament or Jayo you're up for 10 rolls to get the big discounts or offset shipping. This is as little as 4 rolls which is good if you just need refills on a few colours. If you get 6 rolls, it's even cheaper and only an extra $3 to get them on a spool. That makes it pretty competitive with other affordable brands.

They've even included PETG-HF this time around, which is the first time it's been included in any big discounts.

    • I believe PETG-HF was out of stock for quite some time as well

      • And it has sold out again in nearly all colours.

    • +1

Even at 6 rolls it's still $21+ for pla basic.

Anycubic 6 roll bulk is $16kg soooo $30 difference

ELEGOO is <$20 everyday of the week at jaycar and online.

      • But much more limited colours actually available, Elegoo currently only has 3 colours of PLA. Bambu have around 40, most of which are in stock.

The Bambu filament also comes with NFC tags which are really convenient for loading filament in an AMS. I value those at around $1-2 but YMMV.

I know this isn't the cheapest filament available, but at this price, it's close enough to be a consideration - especially if you have an AMS and already have Bambu spools and just need the refills.

        • 3 colours?

          They have a full range

          https://ebay.us/m/Rho6vh

          • @3dprintdeals: I was talking about what's in stock, on their website, where you can buy them for $20 without buying 10. eBay bulk pricing is not the comparison here, as I originally stated - we all know Jayo is even cheaper again.

I just love having so many good filament options now, even 'big' brands like Bambulab are occasionally affordable enough - which is great if you prefer those for the colours or NFC tags or reusable spools or whatever. I remember when Bambu charged a subscription fee just to access bulk pricing (which was still way more than this, I think it was $25 each if you bought 10).

            • +1

@Nukkels: ah ok, I linked the 5 roll listing which is more manageable than buying 10

              • @3dprintdeals: I didn't realise 5 rolls was an option for Elegoo - currently under $14 a roll with the current 15% off coupon. They are on cardboard spools though.

                • @Nukkels: True, I'm using Sunlu S4 and AMS Lite so not a problem for me but good to note for others.

This company sucks, I ordered a P1S with AMS2 combo on the 4th of August for presale. Got the P1S delivered on the 13th of August and the AMS2 delivered on the 15th August. To date they still havent sent me the filament buffer and so the AMS2 just a paperweight as I cant use it without the buffer. They keep saying they are waiting for them to come into stock but they keep pushing forward the date every time I ask.

I asked if they could send me a hub instead as that is in stock and they said no. So be aware that you might get stuck with something you cant use because they sell items they don't have nor have any idea when they will get them in stock. Turned an exciting experience into a frustrating one.

    • It does seem wasteful and logistically messy to have them post multiple packages instead of one big one. I ordered the same thing as you, buffer and a few accessories were first, then the printer and then the AMS2 (thanks TeamGE for delivering the AMS to the wrong address though).

  • There will be another two rounds of promotions next week. Just wondering if other models be on sale or still X1C

    • Product Scope:
The flash sale only apply to X1C printer, filament, accessories, maker's supply, materials, and cyberbrick items listed on the flash sale page. Please check the flash sale page for eligibility.

      I figured it out.

  • If I want to buy p1s with Ams2 pro combo, current price is $1329. Is that a bad deal?

    • Just checked the numbers from @impoze’s price table:
P1S was $669 during the last promo
AMS2 is on sale for $469 each (or $422 if you grab 2+)
AMS2 Buffer package goes for $88.76

Honestly, I’m not pulling the trigger unless I can get the whole setup for around $1,200

      • Thanks for sharing the lowest price. I maybe wait for black firday deal.

        • Since the AMS HT is around $200, and the AMS1 combo is usually more than $200 cheaper than the AMS2 combo, I’ll probably go with the AMS1 combo plus an HT

    • If you need it right now go ahead.

If you can wait, thr next deal is probably black friday.

The Core XY space is also heating up considerbly.

        • They set the new standard of what a printer should do and the competition has slowly caught up.

You won't go wrong with the Bambu.

  • No wonder they were clearing out the X1C, with the H2S coming in at $1,899.

No surprise for P1S. Time to consider other brands.

  • +1
    • It could be $4900+

      • Still pretty cool though, real innovation

      • tbh I think it'd be closer to $4000 for a H2C, AMS 2 pro combo just based on the fact it's likely 80% the same as the H2D
