Similar to this ASUS RT-AX86U Pro AX5700 deal.
Free PS5 game(amazon.com.au) (usually $34) & free $50 Amazon credit, it seems that the free PS5 game triggers the Buy 2 Asus products for $50 Amazon credit promo(amazon.com.au) for some reason.

I used the $5 off visa card deal so $46 ($101-$5-$50) for a Ax3000 router and a game

This or the GL.iNet GL-B3000 router that I got in Prime week for $35 and can still return? Any ideas appreciated as I have no clue with routers.

    • +1

Asus RT-AX3000P is more powerful than GL.iNet GL-B3000
      Qualcomm Dual-core @1GHz (GL-B3000) vs 1.7GHz quad-core (RT-AX3000P)

      • Thank you!

  • Does the $50 get applied at checkout or is the code emailed to you?

    • -1

applied to your account for you next order

      • Very shadey

      • +1

So there's no indication of the promo being applied during checkout? Thanks

      • Not working for me then. I ordered and when I tried to make a subsequent order no credit is available.

        • +1

Best case scenario it's just delayed, worst case scenario you can return them both to Amazon for a refund no problems.

Edit - I bought about 10 mins ago and now have my discount - had to take an item to the checkout page for it to show up.

        • I would assume the item must need to be "shipped" for the $50 promo to apply… Amazon does not charge for the item until it has shipped.

We may even need to wait for the 30 day return period to end also… :) otherwise nothing stopping people from buying the item. getting it shipped using the $50 and returning for a full $96 refund.

EDIT: I just got emailed my $50 promo credit. Stating its been added to my account for my next order

  • Thanks OP got one, what a great deal :)

  • Does anyone know if this works well as a FTTH NBN modem?

    • +1

FTTH doesn't require a modem, just a router. Any router will work, but if you want to make use of the highest speed plans you need to make sure the router is capable. This router should be good for speeds up to 1Gbps. TBH there are better routers out there that are more feature rich. But if you just want something basic that does the job it will do

      • I'm still using a 2017 ZTE H268A 5Ghz Modem that was supplied to my by Exetel

  • Any idea if this can be purchased twice to get the $50 promo twice on the same Amazon account?

    • +1

      no more 50 promo already

  • +1

Nah i think the credit option is gone now from what i can see.

    • +1

only done one account and ran out

  • Does this router supports 5g Sims?

    • No. It's not a mobile broadband router. This one is designed for the FTTP or FTTC NBN.
