Had a need for some more filament printers at work and we needed a few larger ones that hold 2~4 rolls. Found a post from the Jaycar sell off and was originally just going to buy a few of the single units… Then user Arcticviper suggested that Amazon had the larger units on sale, and at $119, it was significantly cheaper than buying multiple single units.

Because it is over the $59, it will come with free shipping.

Ships from Amazon, sold by Creality Official Store.

All credit to user Arcticviper for posting that Amazon has the larger units on sale as well.

Edit:

Some have had success with using code "VISAFIVE" at checkout for another $5 off. I didn't personally get this code when I was looking or checking out, but after some digging, you will need to add it during checkout and then pay using a Visa card.

Is the Sovol SH02 one as good for $93?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0D4YXF8V6
Never mind, this answers my question. https://www.mytechfun.com/filament-dryers
I went with the Sovol SH02

    • Why did you decide on the Sovol instead?

The reviews and data indicated it was at least on par with this creality model and in some respects it was reported as being better, touch screen is better apparently, and it dries hotter so can dry nylon, and on top of that it was $26 cheaper. I am very happy with it.

What can this do for me?

    • +1

It dries filament that is used for 3d printing for a better print result.

    • You don't want it. :(

Thought this was a retro arcade machine

  • Have the single unit version and works well, but ridiculously loud…

    • I'll be about 10km away at home while these are running in the print room… Just how loud are we talking…

      • Not shockwave loud :-) But almost as loud as the 3D printer… (Ender-3 v3 SE)

    • I also have the single unit Space Pi, it does have a high pitch whining sound but I don't find it loud at all. I can comfortably have it running in the background while I am doing other things in the same room.

Thought this was an Air fryer

Got this one. It's good and works well. The only complaint is that the cover swings backwards. So if it's on a shelf it needs space behind.

  • Its a good dryer but I got mine for $107.50 (delivered) on ebay so can be had cheaper. Decent variants are available under different brand names for the same price also

  • Amazon reviews don't really inspire confidence in this one, above average number of faulty units and a terrible touchscreen apparently?

  • How essential is it to dry your pla? Is it only pla that needs drying? I haven’t had any issues printing in abs. I’ve found that some of my pla is becoming brittle. Is that from not being dry? Or just generally getting old?

    • Not really need to dry PLA filaments unless it has been soaked in water or out in open air for long time with lots of moisture in the air.

    • Depends how humid it is. Coastal Australia is very humid and PLA will absorb water from the atmosphere.
Ideal humidity for PLA is <40%.

I noticed a big difference in my surface finish when I started drying my filaments.

Ebay has seller at $126 and I made an offer for $110 and was accepted. Makes it $9 lower than this offer.
