[SUBS, Prime] Decision To Leave (2022) - Movie Streaming @ Prime Video

381

A man falls from a mountain peak to his death. The detective in charge, Hae-joon (PARK Hae-il), comes to meet the dead man's wife Seo-rae (TANG Wei). "I worry when he does not come back from a mountain, thinking he might die at last." Seo-rae does not show any signs of agitation at her husband's death. With her behavior so unlike that of a grieving relative, the police consider her a suspect.

It was on Sbs on demand two years ago. Mediocre movie. Out of curiosity what moved you to post this kind of "bargain"?

Hahaha movie is brilliant, Park Chan-wook doesn't do mediocre. Terrible opinion.

I’m a fan of Asian cinema eg
Memories of murder, old boy, chunking express but I found this average or mediocre as well

        • +2

Yeah fair enough. He's one of my favourite directors. Oldboy is his best in my opinion, but everything in his filmography is great to me, including Decision To Leave.

          • +1

@theory: curious where would you rank this with oldboy, the two vengeance movies and jsa?

            • +1

@follow: Oldboy is one of my favourite films of all time. Then I'd say The Handmaiden is my second favourite of his. Then the Vengeance films and JSA. Then probably Stoker and Decision To Leave. Then everything else!

              • @theory: Not that I was asked, but for me it's:
                Oldboy
                Handmaiden
                Decision to Leave
                JSA
                Sympathy for Mr Vengeance
                Thirst
                Lady Vengeance
                I'm a Cyborg
                Stoker

@Faro: You can check out his two TV shows also. The Little Drummer Girl and The Sympathizer. Oh and shout out to his short film 'Cut' from Three Extremes.

@theory: So mine opinion is terrible, and another one saying the same it's "fair enough"?

    • It was just added to Prime, it's no longer on SBS, the other option to stream it is to rent/buy on other services

You can watch it for free without ads: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/920616

        • I had no idea Kanopy existed, nice.

      • +3

The same can be said of many movies, including 'Werewolves (2024)' - an absolute stinker of bargain bin slop.
Such streaming additions are not deals simply because they have temporarily-limited availability.

OP just confused OzBargain for the TV Guide

By what metrics is this film mediocre?

Need to draw the line somewhere. I wouldn't pick an old movie that has been around & free for ages and post it like a deal.

        Appreciate.
But seriously can’t they just mod this silly posts.

        • -2

You can leave a negative vote so the post ranks lower and other users don't have to see it :)

            @peskyMatt: Shame that’s not fair.

I can tell it isn’t by the way they’ve downvoted your comment here about it.
