    Any international call inc?

    • I don't believe so

No, wait for a Coles Mobile long expiry deal.

      • I guess ET won't be calling home then

        welp

4G is not really a certified speed.
Boost claims 5G but when its speed dropped 95% they just blamed Hell$tra who then told me 5% of speed is what they call now de-prioritised service! For every 100 hours wasted with the ombudsman I got a dollar in return!

4g's a better network, better reception (broadly speaking) and actually faster than most of us need (frequently capped at the same speed providers cap 5g) and saves your battery if you lock out 5g on your handset

Optus 4G in my suburb runs at about 200mbs, Telstra 5G runs about 80mbs lol

Ported from Boost last month. Reception is much better for the areas I frequent (east Melbourne) and half of what I paid for Boost. Wasn't much difference between 5g and 4g either. Recommend

  • How do you find a carrier’s speed in your area

I am happy with the Optus 4g network so far.
I swapped from Boost telstra to Yomojo optus, my reception has actually been better on the optus 4g, I live in the countryside.
To anyone who wants to try optus 4g first before committing, download the My Optus app and they offer a 7 day trial, that's what I did.

If you are planning to travel overseas, OnePassMobile is not worth buying. It doesnt even give SMS receiving for free so you can do your card/app verifications without paying $25 and buying roaming pack from them which is only active for 30 days. Meaning if you travel during the year for 4 months you will have to pay $100.

In my case even after buying roaming pack, while I got SMS, no one was able to call me on AU number and didnt even get an SMS to indicate a missed call.

Oh and the app is a mess.

I'm not planning to renew the plan after it expires.

    • Thanks for sharing. What are you planning to switch to?

  • Absolute garbage, I joined in June for 12 months, and now I'm in the process of looking for another telco, 24/7 no reception, sms never goes through (not the phone).First & last time.
