I would say no buy, it's old technology, power consumption is very high (even they use 2 AA each). I bought one in officeworks years ago, never use it again. Price is alright, anyway.

      Price is alright, anyway.

This is what ozbargain is about brother.

I don't like bananas but you don't see me down voting banana deals due to my dislike of those yellow bastards.

      • You got a point, but just part of it. Consider the price of the battery and how frequency you need to change them, the naked hardware price is nothing then. So I will still neg it.

      • one more thing, you have to keep it within like 1-2 meters, otherwise they cannot connect to each other, if anyone wants this, let me know, I will sell it just $10, so it's not a bargin at all nowadays. hehe

Factoring the high power consumption is this still a bargain compared to other competitors?

I have one of these at work, never really liked it - especially the mouse, poor battery life and no thumb buttons, a little small for my liking tends to needing a harsh shake to wake up often enough I just do it every time now.

The keyboard is light weighted and the rubber feet fell off rather quickly on one side so it slides around quite easily.

  • how does this compare to the mk260? ($21-$25 at most computer parts stores)

  • according to amazon, mk520 scored 4.5 from 468 reviews, but 's520' is just 3.4 from 65; to show the average of experiences.

Appears I should have first checked reviews before buying my mk(360)—it's not the best kb which gives "15 months" compared to < 3 years battery. So I wouldn't have got it unless for $25.27 under Officeworks*Bigw(Jan sale match) & after PayW.
