ASUS RT-AX86U PRO or TP-LINK AX5400. I have been using an Asus RT-AX88U for several years. It has performed flawlessly.

The best one for the price? A second hand Optus or Telstra wifi 6 modem. Can be found for $50 and pretty solid performance

  • Great deal on the 25 mbps plan. if you could get the 50/20 plan down to $75 it would be the best priced on the market

Just signed up. Process was super smooth and was given the choice of which NTD port to activate on, which is great. Took less than 20 minutes and I'm up and running. Seems pretty fantastic - low latency, fast response, getting full advertised speeds, plus 5 days free trial and used a referral code to drop the price further.

    Thanks OP!

    Thanks OP.

Just signed up, on a Sunday took around 4 hours to change over on HFC.

Was grandfathered on Launtel 100/40 for $3/day, however unlike some providers no automatic upgrade to the new tier.

    $25 OzB referral bonus 🙂

    • All good. Did you get 500/50?

        Down: 516.92Mbps
        Up: 47.06
Ping 11ms (Acacia Ridge POP IIRC)

That is pretty good for HFC.

547/49 and 4ms ping on FTTP.

  • Signed up today and churned from Leaptel. A lucky ozbargainer is going to receive my referral signup bonus.

Gaming ping and performance is better with Neptune than Leaptel.

Neptune gaming wise is very similar to Launtel, where I was also getting very low pings but is much more affordable than Launtel.

Leaptel had higher pings for some reason even though all 3 use GSL.

Neptune's sign up process is probably one of the best, their website and customer portal is very modern.

Their DNS filter feature is also a good bonus, I have a lifetime AdGuard subscription for my Mac, but Neptune extends the same kind of functionality to every device on my network.

They have different filter lists, even have one from AdGuard and you can pick and choose what lists to include and what content/websites to block.

The churn took maybe 5 minutes, internet connection dropped for a short while but then automatically connected to the internet/Neptune when the transfer was complete as my router was already set to DHCP.

  • Very smooth switched from superloop to neptune by 2mins!!!

  • Also smooth switch for me and hitting advertised speeds so far…
