Sub $800 and near ATL price for a 5070. Pretty good value for performance compared to current 5070 ti prices.

It's getting to a point now where if i don't upgrade my 1080 GTX soon, i'll probably have to retire from gaming altogether. But i can never seem to see the value in upgrading since the 3000 series pricing. Maybe I've just aged out of it now and don't know it yet.
I'm in the same boat but with a 3060ti (after selling my 3080 just before 50 series launch) đź«
Just get a console and buy your games second-hand if you don’t intend on playing online.
I have a steam deck for indies - I'll just use that for the rare time i want to game.
Im still on a 1060 but the crappy value around has just pushed me onto cloud gaming on my TV
It's getting to be like a boat, where you don't wanna own one, you want to be a guy who knows a guy with a boat.
I'm still rocking a second hand GTX950, meaning to upgrade for the last 5 years, but it's just been one thing after another. Thankfully the ps4 got hacked, which has tied me over, but I would like to investigate VR at some point.
yeah I wouldn't buy a grey import with pc parts why risk Australian warranty
Yes, my friend, NVIDIA really doesn't care about gamers anymore. Selling the same chips to AI companies is much more profitable and the demand is also much higher, without all the headaches that come with individual gamers. Nowadays, gaming cards from NVIDIA are basically given to gamers as a favor. Of course, this is also because AMD's cards are just too weak. Personally, I think the current high prices of NVIDIA cards are 90% due to AI demand, and 10% because AMD can't compete. If it weren’t for the AI boom, a 5070 for $500 would actually be pretty reasonable today, and NVIDIA wouldn’t rename what should have been the 5070 and sell it at a much higher price as the 5080.
I thought this was an ATL.
What's the ATL then?
Just noticed on the tracker the palit was $791.
This will be better, Msi is higher tier than palit in general
Amazing the Palit one was $872
With the RTX 5070 18GB Super coming out prices on older RTX 5000 series cards are dropping fast on all models
5080, 5090 and 5070Ti are also seeing prices drop due to their super series refreshes releasing soon.
Yeahhhh and it's probably worth waiting for the 5070 super rumoured to have 18gn of vram…?? Due to the bus width. Hopefully comes in on sale sub 900 regularly. Would be a pretty solid buy for me. But who knows with Aussie prices. It's supposed to come in at the same 5070 price but yeah gl.
Same bus width as non super as moving from 2gb to 3gb modules to get the increase in ram capacity. Slightly higher core count though. All rumour of course, but that's what everyone is running with.
Oh so you did pay attention after telling me I was making zero sense? That's wonderful.
Did you seriously come here to say that? Dude you have problems.
I stopped replying to your nonsense. No one else thinks that 12GB VRAM is enough. And that's it.
I was already aware of the bus width, my '16gb' comment about the super variant was a throwaway comment.
Please tell Jensen I said hi.
@ReaperX22: I actually came here to check the deal, same as you.
I stopped replying to your nonsense. No one else thinks that 12GB VRAM is enough. And that's it.
Nonsense that you are now partially regurgitating, while beating your chest for upvotes. Sigh.
Will be fun to see what else you'll regurgitate in a year's time.
Damn, 18GB. I game at 4K and pretty much exclusively play Battlefield. Might have to jump on this. But not looking forward to the pricing.
Power usage is supposed to be up too
18GB is assumed, but if 36 Gbit GDDR7 is available and the BoM works out right, you could easily see 15GB instead to deliver a lower priced product.
Also keep in mind that 3GB chips may start out quite expensive due to manufacturing scale (supply) and more limited demand, so if a 5070 Super starts at $1100 again, you really should be looking at the 5070 and 5070 Ti.
Hopefully that's not the case and we see it come in around $900.
Anyone know if this would be eligible for the Borderlands 4 redemption?
no it wont be as currently amazon is not counted as eligible seller
Amazon not listed in 'Where to Buy': https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/campaigns/borderlands-4…
Edit: never mind - I don't think that's the list
Is this a good upgrade to RTX 3080 Super (liquid cooled) for 4K gaming? I mostly play WoW, D4 and occasional Fortnite.
3080 super doesn't exist, but this is similar in 4k performance to a 3090. So a small upgrade, and even smaller from a 3080 Ti
ah ok thanks. Yes I have EVGA 3080 Ti not super. I'll wait till prices drop on 5080 I suppose.
Sort of surprised you need an upgrade, didn't think wow or diablo were particularly demanding even at 4k.
But yes, you'd have to look for a deal on a higher tier card to really make it worthwhile.
Wait for the 60 series late 2026/early 2027 for a big performance jump without any huge price increases, you're not going to see a benefit in any of those games aside from Fortnite, and only if you're chasing 120+ FPS.
If you haven't already, learn how to use DLSS4 via the NVIDIA app to improve visual quality and frame rates on the latter two titles (and others) in the mean time.
Quote: "big performance jump without any huge price increases" ummm this sentence is NOT compatible with the company NVIDIA.
They make 10 times as much money selling the same sized silicon as a workstation/server AI chip vs putting into a gaming GPU so they will continue to raise prices to the moon each generation.
The only reason they haven't stopped making gaming products all together is not wanting to exit out of a consumer market that may be required for long term success and continued product brand reputation and recognition.
3nm wafer costs are not much higher, and it's likely we'll see density maximised instead of pushing clocks, making for an ~80% transistor gain for a ~25% price increase, all while having these 3GB chips baked in on the lower tier cards.
Plenty of scope to improve, but not just through shader and tensor counts alone.
Nah man, i have a 3070ti w/ a 7800x3d and WoW D4 and Fortnite all run perfectly fine, WoW is mainly CPU dependent on single core, id say stick it out for prices to be hopefully better
"Nvidia marketing department"
Drop price on overpriced cards with 12GB ram that nobody wants to upgrade from older 10,20 and 30 series cards
Push out new cards with the name SUPER in them that have 16Gb and release them priced higher
How Nvidias stock price keeps going up is clearly for A.I, its not from gamers
People should start complaining with their wallets, stop buying and they will drop the price.
AI Bubble with hit as enterprises aren't realising value yet (exceptions do exist) but it's overcapitalised.
Once this gets squeezed, all that Nvidia production capacity has to go somewhere?
I am pretty determined to stick to AMD GPUs, not that they are 'saints' by any means.
But the main game I'm playing at the moment (Darktide) performs poorly with AMD GPUs. Can't say I'm not tempted by a NVIDIA card purely because of this, which is a shame.
15 GB or 18 GB are the only combinations that can be done affordably, 16 GB would need a 256-bit bus, making it cost almost the same as a 5070 Ti while having notably less performance.
Bought on the 28th, good deal :D
Currently unavailable.
Seems gone.
Still crazy that $800 for a 12GB GPU is good in 2025.
