    • Seems to be some level of stock control as not every store shows in stock, but don’t think logistically they’re capable of live stock updates… fingers crossed anyhow!

    Best part about living in south of Adelaide is Coles Kurralta Park. Went in at 2am and grabbed one at my convenience.

    The lady told me they'd not seen stock.
    Said my online order which is click collect would likely be cancelled.
    I've placed a second order with a different Coles now.
    This system sucks…. if the store doesn't have stock.. it should be reflected.

  • There was only one (Space Grey) in stock at Ingle Farm plaza and went in store and got it. Called around to Tea Tree plaza and some other stores they didn’t seem to have any stock. I’d say a lot of people are gonna get cancellations for their click and collects.

  • I called the store my second click and collect is with, and they said they had one.
    I asked if i should come right now to pick it up (even though i have a click and collect order).
    The staff said they would take it to the click collect team and the fact i placed the order, it shouldn't go to anyone else. Of course i DON'T BELIEVE that.
    If a shopper goes and picks it off the shelf BEFORE they process my order.. its gone.

    Anyway, i gave her my order number and name, and she said she'd put it aside.. which i doubt is the process. So not holding my breath.

    Thanks OP, picked one up this morning! It’s in Boost packaging and comes with a USB-A wall charger (not Apple branded) and no cord. Condition of mine would probably be “good” as it’s scuffed but no cracks. Confirmed this is the mini series by the way (I saw some debate in comments). Great deal overall imo!

      Mine had a braided third-party Lightning cable next to the wall charger in the box. Maybe, you can contact Boost support for them to get you one? :-)

    • Braided cable look sturdy but don’t last. Bought XR phones, contacted them a couple of months later and they sent new cords.

  • I went into a few stores in Melbourne’s west without any luck and had click and collect cancelled as well.

    Looks like might need some luck to get one.

    Got one in one of my local coles, rang at 6.30 and ask to put one aside and collected it at 7.30am

  • I managed to get 1 this morning at 9am at Coles Mernda. Unfortunately mine had a scratch on the front screen. I'm gonna return it.

      • should be a non issue - 30 days to return for any reason whatsoever

        • i was more concern about the reason for returning. A scratch might be acceptable as it doesn't affect the functionality of the product plus as it's refurb, they might say some scratches are acceptable.

      • I went to return it in the evening due to work but there wasn't any manager around. I was asked to go back in the morning. I'll update tomorrow.

            • @easternculture: That's good to know. There are a couple of tiny scratches on mine which I can accept, but there are some weird smeared areas on the screen. There was a bit of resistance to swiping my finger over the glass too, like a tackiness.
              When I first unboxed it I could see the smears from when it had been "cleaned".
              I thought I had got rid of it all with some lens cleaner earlier and I put it back in the box, but I just checked the analytics file and immediately noticed the smeared areas are still there.
              I'll give it another wipe with lens cleaner tomorrow - if it doesn't fix it I might have some hard thinking to do - but knowing Boost would swap it makes it a bit of an easier decision.

    Ordered online at 6.45am, was ready for collection at 8.15am.
    Was asked if grey was alright? Better than pink, I replied.

    Looks in great condition - not a mark on the case. New, unbranded, charger and braided cable. $2 Boost mobile starter SIM. XD
    The screen has a couple of patches light scuff / smudge marks - possibly from rubbing to remove residue of a screen protector(?) - near the edge and corners.
    There are a couple of tiny scratches, but also a fairly long, faint, pencil-like mark in the middle - not a scratch, more of a discolouration. Will have to see how visible it is when the screen is turned on. The screen is a fingerprint magnet though - I assume any repellent coating has been cleaned off.
    Have just plugged it in to charge up.

    I'm new to Apple devices, how do I test battery health etc, please?

    Managed to get one after visiting a 3rd store. First store didn't get any stock delivered, second only had one that was already sold by 8am. No scratches on the screen, a few very minor marks on the back edge (probably from a case rubbing on the back edge). Included was a new, unbranded, charger and braided cable and $2 Boost mobile starter SIM too. Sim card expires Oct 2025 though.

    Managed to picked 2 up this morning. Confirmed that they will accept change of mind returns before paying. Opened them in my car, 1 was great condition but the other had a lot of fine scratches all over the screen. Went back to swap it for another and it came up in pristine condition - looks like it was well protected with screen protector and case as it looked like it was brand new.

    Had to go to work after, otherwise it would be a great buy for relatives.

  • I've tried to call several stores…. NONE answer the phone. Well 5 out of 6 don't.
    They probably know its a stock query.

    Talk about confirming the terrible customer experience given by Coles.
    I've given up ringing around.

    I have one click and collect at 12pm… which i have very little hope about…. and then i'm out.

  • I got one from Coles Parramatta Westfield at around 8 am
    It still has 94% battery health, but unfortunately mine has quite a lot of scratches on the screen and two dents at the corners
    The staff told me that they only accept returns if the product is faulty when purchased, not sure if I can return it or not
    I'm not very happy with the condition

  • No stock in 10+ Coles stores around Parramatta - mix of calling and driving there as some just don't answer. Some stores never got any, others were allocated 2-3 but they flew out the door first thing. Click and collects from those stores all getting cancelled. Well done to those who managed to get one!

    • surprisingly pristine physical condition - minus one small, faint scratch that you'd have to be searching for (at the top corner of the pad.)

    Shouldn’t advertise it if they don’t have it available to buy. tried two stores in person and told they had zero. Tried online order, accepted and then cancelled w/o reason. Called another, no stock. Customer service line gives you the run around, have nfi.

  • Got 1 of 2 via click and collect at 10am, refunded the other. Ok condition, surface scratches, 3rd party cable and 5W charger. Tried 1 other store for C&C but it cancelled.

  • Had my CC order for 10 am cancelled at 10:15. No explanations, just a "This is a courtesy notification that your Coles online order has been cancelled."

    Went into Mt. Ommaney, QLD, and they had stock. Opened the box in front of the attendant and found a massive scratch on the screen. The manager comes in and swaps for another box, which had a device in fine condition.
