When you say mini burrito is that because the size of the normal burrito has shrunk? Or is this even smaller? Asking for a friend… 👀

    • +3

Nah. Thing is a fair bit smaller and is at the old normal burrito price of like $10. Regular burrito is like ~$14 now but same/similar size as before

I find gyg quality dropped a bit , beans taste like they dont ge tthat slime off the cans, and too many onions.

    • Mmm bean slime. I wash mine in a pasta strainer.

Their shares are dropping crazy too… being reflected in the fillings

Interesting, they seemed like they were going amazing based on an AFR article I read I while back, huge expansion.

Edit: guardian article said pushing into the US. A market that’s created Tex-Mex, with established incumbents. Doesn’t seem like the greatest idea.

And $14.5m net profit off $1bn revenue, what on earth??

  • Took em 49 mins on bike to deliver 1km and whole lot was cold. U et eats help said bad luck. Delivery girl had several orders and I suspect mine was waiting on the counter 20 mins. Not happy jan

    • Why can't you walk a kilometer?

These things are so small even 40% off doesnt make it worth ordering.

  • GYG is all rice and some beans, nothing else pretty much. Honestly worth about $2

  • Then you have to pay add ons for garnishes which would otherwise be free in person or via the gyg app

  • The only people i ever see eat this garbage are teenagers including my daughter. Small sizes, quality is questionable and expensive.

  • These guys are hopeless. Their stores are run like faulty towers with managers who seem to have disdain for their customers, supported by a corporate head office who couldn’t care less.

Only able to expand so rapidly as they are ripping consumers off with high margins and minimal investment in quality of products or services. There must have been some value in the brand at one point, but today I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole!
