    • +2

i was going to ask what he thinks…. I'm guessing sh1t

      • +11

It's a $1.50 Master lock. You could probably sneeze at it and it'll open.

        • +2

Buy 2 and you can toss the keys.

      Expectation:
LPL: Standard hook in hand Click out of one.. two is binding… click out of two.. three feels set.. four is giving me counter-rotation.. and click and thats it.. the lock is open.

      Reality:
LPL: I'll be using top-of-the-keyway tension… and that's it.. the lock is open. Not a terribly secure lock, given how quickly it opened."

    • +4

      LPL is too measured. I prefer McNally's… unhinged-ness 🤣

      • I prefer both!

This is a Master Lock 30mm Brass Keyed Padlock, it can be opened with a Master Lock 30mm Brass Keyed Padlock

  • What's the longest time bunnings will hold a click and collect order? I'm going past a Bunnings in 14 days from today.

    • They've held items for a month for me in the past, eventually they call and ask if you still want it

      • Used to always be 14 days for me in the past, now it seems to only be 5-7 days at most and then they refund it. I've never had them call me to ask. You might be able to extend it if you call them after ordering.

Go to dollar world Liverpool, Warwick farm or Bankstown. Mix and match variety of padlocks big or small for $10 I think

  • I've updated the title, all stores I checked in VIC showed $1.50 online, Port Melbourne, Collingwood, Bayswater, Ringwood.

Are these one of the ones that youtubers have shown you can pick in a few seconds?

    • All locks do that… as in suck

    • Yes

      • Wouldn't be a Master Lock if it couldn't get picked in under a minute. haha

    • What’s your bet on a $1.5 padlock 😜

"on Thursday, Wesfarmers chief executive Rob Scott provided the statistic that encapsulates the problem that really does keep Victorians up at night.

Scott says that right across the Wesfarmers empire, which includes the Bunnings, Kmart, Target and Officeworks chains, sales growth in Victoria lags the rest of the country. But there’s one exception.

“The only area where we’re seeing stronger growth in Victoria is the sale of home security products within Bunnings,” Scott says. “It’s quite a sad statistic to be sharing. "

  • Got a few from my local bunnings, thanks

  • LPL sais dont go anywhere near these guys, they are about as useful as a cable tie

  • Anyone got this to make the “OzB Bunnings padlock trinity”? (Though you wouldn’t bother with this if you got the Lockwood)

  • Friends don't let friends buy Master locks.

    • or that branded Baits

    • +1

what do they buy then, lock picking lawyer can pick almost any lock…

    • are there ANY good padlocks? (<$100)
simple search suggest none can last a 3min yt clip
or a 3 second bolt cutter

      • A 3 second bolt cutter takes almost no skill, so a closed shackle padlock is always best (assuming it fits inside where you want to put it). At $100 I'll probably go for an Abus one on Amazon.

    • Locks that only keep friends outside

  • Meanwhile the lockpick lawyer is sitting at home salivating

    • Most youtubers are like that though. They don't live in reality, just fantasy.

  • Facial recognition is free!

    Only in store

  • $7.92 from Sydney

  • I think fingerprint locks are about this price on Ali. Not sure of the quality as I haven't tried.

    • +1

They're lightweight to the point where it feels like they're hollow inside, and it doesn't take much force to break them open.

    • +1

Those ones are rubbish, much easier to get past than a Lockwood 120.
There're videos of people just tugging them open.

  • Thanks, got a few with onepass free trial.
