Apple Türkiye Increasing Price from Next Billing Cycle

Firstly, massive thanks to @I Smell Pennies (ISP) for the deal thread he created back in July 2023.

Just received the below email from Apple to my Turkish Apple ID:

Subscription Price Increase

iCloud+ with 2 TB of storage
iCloud+ 1 month
New ₺399,99 — Old ₺249,99
Starting 30 September 2025

₺399,99 ~ $14.93AUD

Apple AU iCloud Pricing: https://www.apple.com/au/icloud/
For 2TB it is A$14.99 per month.

Well played, Apple.
I guess I will be switching over to my AU Apple ID once my TRY gift card balance is exhausted.

Oh noes, Apple is milking users for $$ …

It must be a completely new strategy from Apple (the only hardware manufacturer with 30% hardware profit mark ups)!!

Say it aint so!! I chose Apple products because they are so cheap compared to everything else ;)

  • laughs in turkish pesos

    Bit brutal on the locals!

    • I would imagine their reasoning would be anyone with an iPhone in turkey should be able to afford that price….

  • any cheap prices for disney+?
they just doubled my one for turkey :(

what is the process for switching back from Turkey to AU ?

    • It's a bit of a pain. You basically have to change the person sharing the subscription back to the Australian account you were using before

  • how much is argentina?!

    • From Apple:

For countries and regions where the local currency isn’t supported, such as Argentina, storage upgrades are billed in US dollars (USD).

      • +1

That's the currency used, not how much they charge in that country.

I still have apple one family plan for 365RS in india, then i pay an extra 75RS for an additional 50gb. for apple one its still cheaper and good its shared amoungst family.

    • which card do you use to pay? or is there a similar process to turgame and Turkey AS?

      • +1

I just use indian giftcards, for india i buy fom amazon india and for turkey i use turgame

  • It seems worth to switch back from Turkiye to Australia. The only problem is that they might end up increasing the Australia pricing which would most likely happen soon and then have to switch back to Turkiye.

Their currency should continue devaluing at least, and cheaper is cheaper. I think I'll stay put.

    • I agree - will ride it out while I still have access to a Türkiye account.

    • Great idea, I was just about to switch back

  • Any new methods using different currencies. Crazy to see this!

    • ^^^ @I Smell Pennies Any ideas?

Will investigate when I get the chance. Thanks for the ping.

  • Just refreshed on the new sub price, with the partner fee charge for paying with a credit card it worked out to be $15.01 AUD with my cc (408,14 lira). So paying 2c more than going with the Aussie price. Wondering if the Aussie price will increase eventually though… otherwise might be easier to just change the account to AU.
