Cashback Terms:

  • Is sunscreen taxed in Australia? My order only contained hamilton sunscreens but noticed the tracked amount still had tax deducted

    • if its principally a sunscreen only with no dual purpose then it should be GST free but having said that, I doubt for tracking purpose they will be able to distinguish between whats GST inclusive and what is GST free. So for simplicity - everything will include GST.

    I got $13.63 tracked, then that order was cancelled.
    I then did another order for $45 and only $1.37 was tracked, which is the remaining amount of the max $15.

    Does anyone know if the TCB software is smart enough to see a cancellation, then move the total $15 to my 2nd order?
    I doubt it but if @tightarse or someone could answer this it would be appreciated.

    @tightarse could you please let us know if there's any existing issues with tracking the team is aware of? Myself and seemingly a quite a few others in the thread have not received tracking info, despite TCB usually tracking flawlessly and fast.

      Hi. No tracking issues at all. In fact I can tell you we had in excess of 10,000 members track orders successfully from this promo alone, and was obviously a massive success. There's numerous reasons why your order may not have tracked, so please either raise a missing cashback claim or feel free to cancel the order. All the best.

      • Yeah, I'm sure it was! I've never run into issues with TCB tracking, and haven't seen this many comments about transactions not tracking either - but perhaps the scale of transactions means the scale of untracked transactions also increases. I'll raise a ticket, hopefully gets sorted out - otherwise it'll be a real shame to have missed out.

          Yep. I bet we'd have a few hundred pages if all the members that tracked made comments lol. If you go back to previous pages though you'll find plenty of comments about successful tracking. The latter ones will obviously be about not tracking after members have waited a certain amount of time. Anyway, please don't worry - we're here to help as best we can. Thanks.

          • @tightarse: I don't know if this is of comfort but if you submit an "Untracked" claim, it has the date and time when the purchase was about to track.

            In my case, I clicked into TCB to CW at 10.40am and completed a purchase by 10.43am. That date and time of 10/09/2025 and 10.40am was shown as one of the options which means the purchase should have tracked (at least TCB acknowledged the click).

            So maybe this could be a timing thing but seeing that date/time, should provide some comfort that at least TCB acknowledged the click.

            @tightarse: @poppingtags Not sure how you ordered. I find better success with tracking using the TopCashback app to CWH website, mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

            My CWH order tracked yesterday. Other members also commented that they received tracking.

            I bought from CWH for the $5 bonus the day before and it also tracked.

            • @trixieb: I also ordered via TCB's own app, but on wifi - never had an issue before. Submitted a missing cashback claim, but estimated time on it is 1-3 months. If I don't hear back by the time the click and collect order is due, I'll just cancel the order.

              Has me a bit concerned for Black Friday cashbacks, when it'll be more critical to get right and the choice will be against Shopback, who've really upped their game with tracking lately.

                @poppingtags: @tightarse had recommended that mobile data is used rather than Wi-Fi for better tracking. There is less risk of non-tracking with mobile data. Also no VPN or custom filtering DNS.

                With Black Friday last year, I was unable to place an order with Chemist Warehouse during the upsized cashbacks from the cashback sites.

                Chemist Warehouse website wasn't able to cope with the volume of traffic. There was an online queue that went on for hours. I was stuck in the queue, screen froze, got booted out, had to rejoin the queue and the same happened again. I gave up. There would probably be a high risk of non-tracking with Chemist Warehouse and the cashback sites then.

                Chemist Warehouse had the same online queue without clicking through the cashback sites.

                  @trixieb: For sure, I always turn off the VPN and Ad-blockers prior to using cashback, I'll need to remember to switch to mobile data in the future.

        Yeah reading the comments it seems that from 2300-midnight were most of the 'untracked' comments. I thought there might have been something happen with tracking issues as well. Normally no issues with mine but guess will cancel this one.

    Ordered late yesterday evening 11pm but did not track.. should cancel order or still wait?

  • Ordered around 11.15 pm yesterday. The amount hasnt tracked ! Also got mail from chemist that one of the $13 item is unavilable. I have placed order of $71 with one item having $58 and other $13. Will this still track if I can just collect one item ? Else I will cancel whole order and go with commbank promo !

    Can confirm my order HAS NOT tracked at all. Using the TCB app.

    Two cashbacks offers haven’t tracked at all. I still have one pending from the Everyday Market one and just submitted another one for CWH.

    For all the successful ones… seems like a few slip through the cracks… wonder if it’s by design or coincidental?

        @twodollah @JacobAU All the cashback sites are the same with the 7 day wait before anyone reviews in case your order tracks in the 7 days.

        TopCashback seems to be only cashback company that allows you to submit a claim before 7 days.

        @capslock janitor You won't be able to submit a claim with ShopBack before 7 days.

        @looks Unfortunately not on the app. Submit missing cashback claim here.

        When you submit a claim now (before 7 days), it will be put ‘On Ice’. The claim will be automatically taken 'Off Ice' after 7 days and submitted.

        You don't have to do anymore but wait for the claim to be processed which could take a few months. Probably the same time frame if your order had tracked. Estimated payable is 16 weeks for tracked orders.

        After 7 days, you can check on the progress of your claim or add further info here.

        TopCashback does not add the tracking manually. You won't see it in the "Earnings" page initially. After the claim is paid, then you will see the transaction in your account.

        There is usually no response while waiting for months. TopCashback will contact you if they need more info.

    C&C Order tracked quickly enough.

    Venting about how bad some staff at CW are.

    I went to collect, and found they gave me the wrong item.
    What did they do to fix this? They cancelled and refunded the incorrect item and now totally screwed up my C&C order.

    Now spent >$10 on an order with zero cashback.

    I couldn't refund the rest of the order.

    This is a staffing issue at CW, just makes me so annoyed about it.
    What should've been a simple thank you C&C with nice cashback turns frustrating and time wasting to try to get things corrected.

  • Hey lads, I have made two orders with Chemist Warehouse that didn't track. This was bizarre as I have been a long time user of TopCashback and have not had an order not track. So I contacted the man, the myth, the legend, TA to get to the bottom of this issue. I made the first order using Chrome with my adblock disabled. Under the guidance of TA, the second order was made using Microsoft Edge, as it didn't have extensions installed. Days passed without either of these orders being tracked. TA then summoned his inner Albert Einstein and suggested that I check my modem's DNS settings. Upon doing so, I discovered my DNS was set to 94.140.14.14. By entering the IP into www.whatismyipaddress.com, I determined that it is owned by AdGuard Software Limited. 94.140.14.14 also redirects to https://adguard-dns.io/en/welcome.html

    • I also have two orders with Chemist Warehouse which didn't get tracked.

      I don't use any dns/hosts adblockers, my DNS settings are 1.1.1.1 (cloudflare) and 2001:4860:4860::8888 (google ipv6).

      I do use a browser adblock (ublock origin) but I always make sure that to disable it before doing the cashback (by disabling the extension in firefox).

      Usually this setup works for tracking with Shopback, Cashrewards (RIP) and Topcashback (except this time).

      I also have 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 as my DNS resolver.

      One thing that I should note, is that the day before the $15 special, I did buy from Chemist Warehouse and that tracked successfully. Then on the $15 special day, I did the same and this one did not track. I have no submitted a cashback enquiry.

      Just now (12/09/2025 - 5%), I bought another set of vitamins from CW from TCB which should net me 5%. Let's see if it tracks that. I am confident 100% it will.

      If it does, then there is something really wrong with the $15 special tracking.

    This didn't track for me either.
    First time I've ever had a tracking issue with TCB.

    I was using the same device, same wifi, same browser, same settings as I normally do, and my Amazon purchase (again everything the same) within 30 mins of the CW order tracked fine.

    I am undecided if I should collect my order with the hope that missing cashback is fixed, or just cancel it in case it isn't.

      For a missing cashback claim to be successful, is it sufficient that there is a clickthrough recorded and evidence of a purchase (order number, etc)?

    Not happy :( The item I received has an expiry date of 4/10/25. Not advertised as short dated. Have put through an enquiry requesting a fresh pack.

    • CW replaced item but also cancelled my order when they switched. :( So I will be returning. Sad.

    Just messaged TA as I have had my order cancelled and refunded due to no stock. He has fixed it up all properly with my new order and everything is showing both on mine and the Mrs. It's really reassuring to have TA here on ozbargain to personally handle these matters, I think it really helps TopCashBack stand out these days.

        • Missing cashback claim lodged, but what scares me is a response/conclusion of 1-3 months being expected. That's an incredibly long time.

Please note as per the instructions on the email you initially received when lodging your claim, there is nothing further for you to do and there will be no follow-up from us unless we need to. The claim will be sent to the retailer and we'll reach out to you again only if we require more information. Once with the retailer, the process can take 2-3 months and is unfortunately totally out of our control. Please remember that had your order tracked, the estimated payable time frame is still outside this period anyway. Please just be patient and all should be ok.
