Have had a few blackvues now and never had a problem, got a new car with an iroad which is rubbish, would pay extra for blackvue in a heartbeat, anyone know if same connectors to swap out easily?
This has killed my new suv's battery. I've been dc it now and again.
Same thing happened to my car with a DR900X.
I found that you have to go into the actual WiFi (direct cam settings), instead of the Cloud settings in the app. When you're setting the voltages, as the battery drain is huge!
So make sure you place the cut off voltage higher, until you can supplement the camera's with the external battery/power bank module.

We have 4 of these and we've set them all to maximum (12.5V I believe?)
In the three hatches this means parking mode only lasts 30-60 minutes, but in the wife's Merc SUV it will run almost overnight in park mode. So very dependent on your battery quality and size.
If you don't really need parking mode just turn it off right? No drain at all then.

I have had a few Blackvues and all have died. I know others who had theirs die too. I was even on the phone with a client and I could hear theirs power cycling in the background "Blackvue for your safe driving…starting normal recording" on repeat.
Meanwhile all the Viofos that I have installed on relatives care are all still going strong. Ive changed to an a329 myself and its significantly cheaper than the equivalent Blackvue yet significantly better quality picture
Why not vifio or 70mai for less than half of the price and better image quality?
