    Can these be updated?

    The earth is flat though

    • Yep double checked on google maps, its definately flat.

Seperatly, Antarctica looks massive on google maps. Once global warming kicks in, why dont we all just move there?

    • But then it would take up too much space. This is the more compact, spherical concept of the Earth, which allows it to take up less space in the room.

  • For kids to see the world without the parents having to pay for them to see the world

  • Nice

My kids have this. It’s good fun and clever tech.

However, it’s massive and takes a lot of space wherever it’s put. I don’t recommend it for this reason.

Could just show your kids Google Earth on their iPad.

lots of screen time == bad parenting

        • This globe has a screen though.

          • @AustriaBargain: That's like saying calculators are bad because they have a screen…

Just upsize your house you poor mf

      • you poor mf

Don't know why, but this has me rolling!

    • Massive? I thought it was quite small for a globe.

This thing is great. It plays quality BBC videos about countries on its little screen. My son became obsessed with it and learned every country, every flag, every capital city, and constantly quizzes us on it.

    • Yeah, but can he name all the countries with Guinea in their name?

      • +2

Yes, and he knows where each of them is, and their capital city, and their flag, and thinks it's ridiculous that we don't.

    • how old do they have to be to get to that stage?

      • He started this obsession at 4, going on 5. He's just turned 6.

I have purchased 2 of these, the first one was hugged to death. I'm frugal but this is a great educational tool, especially for kids who love animals. A steal at this price.

Yeah, the stylus broke on mine. Attempted repair but the connector inside is very small, so too hard for my measly soldering skills.

  • looks good, birthdays and christmas coming up. thanks op

Wonder if its been updated with the Gulf of America …

What ages are the videos targetted at? If 5yo would it be a bit "lame" for older kids?

    • +1

I reckon good up until 7-9 or so at least

  • Occasionally I get into holes watching flat earth videos on YT (in pure bewilderment) .. education is so important.

  • +1

My niblings have this globe; it's really good.

Although my favourite feature is definitely when you tap Taiwan with the stylus and the video for The People's Republic of China starts playing lol

  • Seem to be Sold Out on Amazon.au. Heading to Target :)

    But the earth is flat?

  • +1

Just ordered. Still available at Target with free delivery!

  • The Earth is flat, they are brainwashing by the toy.

  • The comments about Earth being flat are too many that I can't tell if it's a running joke or you guys are serious 😂
