iPhone 13 Mini Brand New?

Hey guys,

I’m after a brand new iPhone 13 mini. It seems impossible to find. Is there any hope of finding one anymore? I know there’s a lot of eBay listing claiming to be brand new but they’re actually not. Before anyone comes and says “why such an old iPhone” etc, I like the form factor the best.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!

  • I got mine at the end of 2023 and even then they were rare as hens teeth, had to chase around Officeworks to find stock. Highly doubt anyone still has any of these they’re selling.

  • I don't see the point of the 16e, I think they should replace it with the mini. Below is what we got this year and ideally what I hope we get next year:

    2025

    • iPhone 16e
    • iPhone 17
    • iPhone Air
    • iPhone 17 Pro
    • iPhone 17 Pro Max

    2026

    • iPhone 18
    • iPhone 18 mini
    • iPhone 18 Air
    • iPhone 18 Pro
    • iPhone 18 Pro Max
    • 100% they should have kept mini in the line up, great form factor

unfortunately we only have ourselves to blame collectively, I guess they were not selling well, hence were cut

      • Apple messed this up, they released the SE 2 in 2020 and the 13 mini in 2021. Given that consumers of these phones are clearly prioritizing form over LaTeSt tEcH, and are therefore more likely to hold onto their phones for more than a year, initial demand for the 13 mini was significantly hampered. Its popularity should be measured in how its 2nd hand price hasn’t really budged in the last 2 years, while every other iPhone 13 model has depreciated at the usual rate.

    • 2025
      iPhone 16e
      iPhone 17
      iPhone Air
      iPhone 17 Pro
      iPhone 17 Pro Max

Apple is still selling iPhone 16 too.

  • why such an old iPhone

    • How are you questioning someone's phone choices when you choose to be with TPG and complain about outages? Switch.

      • You seriously can't be in denial about it being a completely different form factor. I prefer larger phones like the iPhone Plus and iPhone Pro Max and the base and Pro models significantly too small for me. So I can imagine how for those that prefer the mini, they're too big for them.

        • I guess we are a niche but we are there! I love smaller phones. An iPhone 5 with edge to edge display would be peak for me.
Same with smaller monitors. There are no 24" OLED gaming displays.

      • It actually makes a pretty big difference, especially for one handed use

      • So? That's the same width difference as between the 16 and the 16 plus. It's also way more of a height difference than between those two. Do you think there's no difference between the normal and plus models (or pro and pro max)?

12% narrower makes a big difference in holding a phone.

  • i have a iphone 13 mini for work.
    its great

  • Be quick? Is this what you’re after?

    https://ebay.us/m/5Bwpka

    • I saw this 3 hours late but it was still available so I wasted no time. Absolute legend!

      • Great glad to hear it
Hopefully it’s as advertised, seller looks legit

        • Yeah so far looks all good

  • I case anyone is interested. I just bought iPhone 13 mini 128gb space grey from these guys for $550

    https://ebay.us/m/kwQbEC

Arrived in 3 days in well packaged, sealed/secured Apple box with accessories. Appears absolutely brand new. Pristine, not a mark or sign of use. Battery was dead flat- perhaps not surprising as model has been out of production. Charged up ok indicating 100% health. Very happy.

    • Sounds like a good option
I ended up getting an excellent used one for $270 and getting the battery replaced. Works beautifully with the new battery from Apple

  • Production ended on them in Sept 2023. I'm sure there are still a few Apple factory sealed brand new units floating around (as I take it this is what you're after), but they're going to be difficult to come by, and they'll almost certainly be overpriced as a result.

I reckon eBay is still your best bet, but you'll have to check often, and look for listings that mention factory sealed brand new unit with the official warranty, but you might be waiting for a long time.

    • Buy why such an unpopuar, tiny old phone?
It will have no resale value and you will have difficulty reading the screen

Just get the standard iPhone 13….its the perfect size for carrying around

      • I’ve been using the SEs and on the 12 mini now. I find the form factor perfect.

      • there was a time when the iphone mini (basically iphone X body) was considered a large screen.

big phones are definitely a recent phenomenon and there are people who like the feeling of a mini in their pocket and hand.

for this reason I believe the 13 mini being the last of its kind will hold some resell value

  • This listing looks pretty good and reviews check out.

    https://ebay.us/m/aoZvke

I've also got a 13 Mini, brilliant phone at the perfect size.

    • These items are listed as Brand New, but that's misleading because the box isn't manufacturer sealed and they don't include the original 12 month apple warranty. They're essentially refurbished to look and function like a brand new phone, and a 12 month warranty is offered by the seller to supplement the original 'manufacturers warranty'.

For all intents and purposes, they're usually going to function just like a brand new phone, and it still might be the best bet if the OP wants to get their hands on one urgently, but they're still not "brand new".

      • You might be right, in which case it should be eligible for return if the buyer has a problem with that.

        • Everyone should have a problem with non brand new phones being able to be listed as brand new. It doesn't matter if it's never been used or in mind condition, if it's been opened it's new and not brand new.

          • @Nillionaire: Hence why I said the reviews checked out on that ebay page. People stating that items were sealed and new as listed.

  • Hahahaha thanks for the feedback. If I need to get it refurbished, where would be the best place? Lot of places to choose from but unsure. Is OzMobiles any good?

  • Reebelo

    • Wouldn’t be safer if I stick to the resellers cause Reebelo is a marketplace?

      • Absolutely; the marketplaces don't grade consistently compared to resellers who manage their own inventory.

  • There aren’t heaps, but still a steady supply of great condition 13 mini’s on eBay and marketplace. I think I’ve seen 3 brand new ones in the last year or so, $700-$800 range, 256/512.

  • I remember seeing brand new listings for iPhone 13 mini on Ozmobile about a month or so ago but they’re all sold out now.

    • I saw this too! Even as recently as last week. I’m annoyed that procrastinated for so long with it sitting in my cart. Lesson learned.

  • Agree this is a fantastic phone

What about a good condition one and get the battery replaced by apple for 149?

What’s the specific reason for wanting new?

I have been holding onto my 12 mini but the battery is cooked and 64GB is causing trouble.

Agree the form factor is something I wish Apple would revisit, I don’t see the point of an air, yes a bit thinner but still a brick in your pocket

    • Hmm nice unboxing experience and fear of getting a bad phone lol. I’ll have to give refurbished a shot

  • I’m similar late 2023 mini 13 buyer who chased Officeworks. Shoulda got 256 Gb.
Love size, thinking if I needed mini upgrade, I’d get best mini 13 from BOOST.
I’ve had 3 refurbished iphones from them - all excellent condition and no issues.

    Bring back the mini

  • I'm sitting here quietly persisting with my 64GB iPhone 12 Mini waiting for the next Mini or even an iPhone fold…

  • There are strangely so many places you can buy it from online, after I did a tonne of research the other day. I ended up buying a Premium version on Reebelo the other day. It should arrive sometime this week. If it has a single scratch on it, I’m returning it. It’s a nice phone in general. Super compact and easy to carry around. I wish Apple would bring it back! I can report back with the quality of the device if anyone cares to know.

    • Also looking forward to a battery capacity disclosure

      • No worries. I’ll report back. I did opt for a brand new battery at no extra charge. So let’s see. I might go to Apple to have to replaced for a genuine one if this one isn’t good. Hopefully they’ll just allow that as long as I’m paying.

    • Yes please let us know

  • Some just listed on eBay now as new.

    https://ebay.us/m/ZpwpmN

    World Smartfone is the seller

    Worth a look?

    • I actually messaged this seller a few times early last week with questions about the device. They didn't reply. That alone was a red flag.
But I'm certain they are refurbished devices.

    • Worldsmartfone (or World Smartfone) sell fake new items.
I purchased a 'new' Iphone 12 mini from them. Battery went to poo in six months, so replaced it myself, When I opened it contacted a fake battery.
I tried to complain to both the seller and ebay — nothing!
      Avoid like the plague.

  • I ordered the iPhone 13 Mini in blue 128gn from Reebelo on the weekend and it arrived in 2 business days. I ordered the "premium" condition. I kind of expected it to be damaged with scratches, dents, marks, etc… based on what I had read of other people's experiences online and let's just say, it came exactly how I expected it to come. Scratched up, camera rims were beat up and there were chips in the paint. Definitely NOT premium. Needless to say, I didn't bother turning it on. I raised a return and packed it up. Once I get a refund, I will take my money elsewhere. Pretty disappointing experience, even despite me expecting to be in this very situation.

    • To add to this, it was sold by Mobile Federation. No idea how anyone in their right mind looked at the phone and said "Yep! This is absolutely in premium condition".

    • I’ve ordered from green gadgets before, a ‘good’ condition and it literally looked new.

    • Wow that’s disappointing. I’m thinking of trying OzMobiles

    • As a student years ago around the iPhone 4/5 generation I would buy phones with issues then take them to the Apple Store to be looked at. 9/10 times they would be replaced under consumer law with the new one from a generic slim white box. I was told then that they aren't brand new but they are refurbs, however they appeared completely brand new to me. This was before the days of iOS giving you battery health info.

IF a device was outside warranty, I would be given an option to buy a replacement of the same model for a discounted price.

Not sure if this policy still exists…

      • It looks like it may be according to the reddit post assuming it’s the same for Aus

  • Have bought new iphones from here in the past.

They are not local versions, I believe they are Chinese/Asian models. But were new as claimed

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/276447039342?_trkparms=amclksrc%…

    • That's not the mini

      • yes my bad. there is another seller with mini. but i cant give you feedback on the other seller - that is if its a new one even though they advertise it as new (599.99

Just look at the others advertised similar items - happy hunting

  • iPhone 13 Mini brand new?

    Nah, it's an old model.
