  Typical Masters/Woolworths rip you off when they can! Different prices at different Masters stores (the same dodgy practice woollies do).
  Only Chullora store has it at $299, All the other stores are $371

  Why do they do that???

  A least for those near Chullora it's a good price. Maybe we can price match their own stores?

    Well Woolworths Ltd. didn't become such a mammoth company by selling stuff at cost price now did they?

    Its all supply and demand. If the only competitors within 30ish km/s all sell something for 500, why on earth would Masters sell it for 300 just because 1 stores that is hundreds of kms away sells it for that?

    Pretty much all prices are set as high as they legally can, without driving away business. There will hallways be variance in prices due to tighter competition OR tighter customers in certain geographics pushing those high prices down again.

  Just called the 1300 number and they price matched (would not take the extra % off as it was their store) for my local store here in Victoria. I had to buy it over the phone and they gave me an order number and I was told that I cold collect in it in 2-3 hours once the order hits my local store. Good luck and I would suggest to be quick…………

  You can get further 5% off if you have woolworths staff everyday rewards card. I bought it for $284.05 from Masters,WA by price matching with HN

  David jones are pretty easy to price match, I have tried couple of times and I just had to show the price on my mobile and they matched- no questions asked, no checking with supervisors (that guy could be the supervisor!). They don't have (easy) access to Internet on shop floor, so they rely on what you show them. I bought mine C35 last week, went to masters to match- they refused, then went to DJ to get it without any hassles

  I think I might be responsible for all this. I bought one at Masters Chullora two weeks ago for $371. I then saw them at HN for $299 on Australia Day(saw it on Ozbargain). Kudos to Masters because when I approached them to claim the price guarantee (find it cheaper within 30 days of purchase and they refund the difference) they didn't quibble.

  They didn't know about the HN deal and so they must have decided to cut it for everyone (not just me). This is my first experience of Masters price guarantee and was pleasantly surprised.

  Chalk up another victory for OzBargain.

  i simply showed the masters DC35 product page for the Chullora store on my iphone and thegoodguys matched it for us.
