  • Sweet, was looking at buying a few things.

  • +1

Confused about coupons. An item I'm looking to buy is applying "seller coupon" automatically and I have no way of removing it.

    • When you get to the final payment screen, scroll down and find the coupon section that will have been pre-filled. You have to then click on the coupon, which takes you to another screen, where you can then unselect it (option will say something like “don’t apply this coupon”). Then go back to your payment screen, price should adjust up, then pay

      • +1

I can see "Apply coupon code" section in the checkout screen. Is this what you are referring to?
When I click that, I don't see any coupon listed as being used.

        • Yep, its that screen "Apply coupon doe". If a seller coupon (or your account itself) has a coupon auto applied, it will show on that screen - to remove it (so it doesn't invalidate cashback), you then select the coupon, then "don't apply" or whatever their words are - I cant test right now as dont have any coupons in my account

  • Any maximum cashback? Either I'm blind or there's none. Thanks.

    • -2

      Huh?

      • +1

What i meant, is it an uncapped cashback?

    • -1

you can buy $1000 iphone 15 pro max and get 50% cashback

    • You mean cap?

      • Yeah sorry… Brain needs coffee.. Thanks

    • At least the maximum I’ve got is over $2000

  • My Temu order total was $174.13 but shopback tracked at $62.40 when it was 50% cashback rate. Doesn't sound quite right?

    • GST? Any shipping fee?

      • +1

The email from shopback was $62.40, I just checked the website account and its updated to $76.20
Total eligible purchase amount - $152.46
        Total Cashback tracked - $76.20

I guess its not far off - $174.13 minus GST = $158.30 but it tracked $152.46

        • They sometimes blanklet slap a 'gst/vat' amount of 15%. No idea why but thats just how its been across all CB platforms with Temu.

    • Its often lower due to gst. How about any coupons, credits or discounts that may have been applied?

      • No coupons credits or discounts

      • +1

Seems a bit low, even after you factor out GST. Maybe they also account for the shipping component? But yes, when they advertise a %age, it's only on the "base cost" of the item. So additional taxes and fees are excluded.

    • I think the ShopBack emails only show the tracked cashback from your last 2 orders, and Temu orders are split up with each item being its own order so the email is often wrong but the actual tracked amount in the app/website should be right.

    • +1

I also purchased this during the previous 50% rate, and had a similar issue.
Put in a ticket, I got some email communication, and they fixed it shortly after.

      • Thanks I'll do that

  • Can I use the welcome discounts like free shipping and 60% off?

    • There's often higher cash back for your first order so you might want to wait.

If the coupon auto applies it tends to track properly but if its something you had to manually edit it wont track. But ymmv the terms do say no coupons allowed.

  • +3

Looks like it's only till 6pm.

    • +8

yep someone need to tell Temu CEO most people in australia are working between 9-5pm please give more time

    • Is it? Because in the Temu banner it said "Flash Sale. All Day".

      • +1

They drop the rate but still a flash sale

  • +1

My order of new trains for WA's Metronet was significantly not as described. Never using Temu again!

    • +1

      ha ha

    • +2

Jokes on you, those trains are French

  • I wonder if Virgin Australia used ShopBack on their Temu business class shower curtains.

    • I guess do a search on Temu for 'Pleb filters'….

  • Dang.. went with TCB's 40% a couple days ago

  • Better tracking then TCB ?

  • How long does it take to track an order?
SB was showing 30% New customer coupon is allowed to use.

    • 24 hours

  • Does being in temu circle void this promo ? cashback is not tracking after i place my order.

  • Anyone is interested, buy the recent release the DJI mini 5/pro series on Temu. They are very cheap after these cashbacks.

    • I'm guessing they are genuine? I don't see many branded things on Temu

      • Most of the time fake ones or the first copy.

  • Glad to make some purchase in the last 15 mins, lol.

  • +4

Guess I missed out thanks to daylight saving time.

  • +2

Not friendly to WA, ended before work hours.

  • How often do these cashback come?

    • +1

During working hours very often. Outside of those hours sparingly

I had a very unpleasant experience with Temu today as I was trying to use the 50% cashback offer.
The shopback exclusion says that we cant use any promo code as then the cashback will be void.
When I was about to checkout, Temu automatically applied the following promo which cant be removed, as there is no option. (Tried both on web and on mobile)

    AU$3.00 off coupon applied:
    -AU$3.00
    Code: AUCART01

When I chatted with the customer care, they advised that there is no way the promo coupon can be removed, effectively voiding any cashback.
Did anyone experience this issue and is there any potential workaround, please?

    • The coupon can be removed on checkout before you pay. It's a bit tricky as it feels hidden inside another click menu but its there.

      • -1

As per the customer care, rep, it cant be.

      • +3

I didn't find option to remove coupon too.

    • I’ve used coupons on every TEMU purchase and always had successful tracking and payout. Even when ShopBack pops up messages about coupons it still tracks and pays out.

    • Things like these have been discussed, auto applied promo codes in general won't deny cashback for Temu. The only thing will be that the final order price (post coupons) will be the 'purchase' price.

  • Dang, why did i not get notification from shopback about this…been waiting for this!

  • Haven't tracked yet

    • Okay tracked using data mobile, and through the app. $19.17 back on 45.

Worked with shopback but not the other one.

Also had that 30 cent shopping coupon applied which didn't void cash back.

  • Tracked - 23 hours and 20 mins.

  • Tracked but didn't seem to track all of it. It's about 25% of the order value :/

edit: So the value in the email is about 25% but in shopback app it's about 45%~. I guess all is well?

  • Tracked - about 95% of the total amount paid

  • Tracked today at a smidge over 42% of actual purchase price.

  • Is electronic products eligible for the cashback? E.g. (used) laptop or phone.
