Gaming PC - Best Time to Buy?

In the market for a gaming PC prebuild, budget of $2,800

Wanting to get best bang for the buck and seeing a raft of different PC builders advertising here.

Who should I go with and why?

Familiar with what components I should look out for, should we be waiting for Black Friday?

Black Friday as a sale event is not as big of a deal as you might think. Especially for computer components, there isn't enough of a profit margin that retailers can shave off to give you a good discount. In contrast to high margin products like computer peripherals and gaming accessories, which can see deeper discounts during sale periods

Most likely you will pay as much for a Ryzen 7 9800 X3D or RTX 5080 in Boxing Day December as you would today.

  • Best Time to Buy?

    Tomorrow

  • The best time to buy is when you can afford to buy it.

  • when it's Very cheap.

I would want to find something lower than this. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/868685

    Black Friday

typically from what i've seen black friday is not the cheapest time of the year. it's just a hyped up sale. same with prime day imo.

I'd spend $88 more and go for this RTX 5080 build.

  • Jump on this one now. It’s a banger!

    • got it :)

  • Honestly Christmas sales and black Friday are good times.

If you really want to know check techfast prebuilt sales over the year and see when they released the best deals if you are lazy check most upvotes and date.

End of financial year sales sometimes also a good time if you miss the other two but really just check techfast and when they release their biggest deals or even just ask them via dm I'm sure Luke would love to help you.

  • i would wait for cyber monday
