My last post before I leave Australia tomorrow.

30c per can. Doesn't beat my personal record of ~$4.50 for a 24 can pack but it'll do.

Enjoy you all <3

    Good deal.
However i encourage people to avoid processed food if you can afford it. Makes a big difference on your health and weight 🙂

    • -2

your statement is gold but not palatable at ozb where members start presenting ‘stats’, ‘scientific facts’ to justify such junk.

      • -2

Yeah agree. Used to be the same but when switched to unprocessed food, noticed big difference in health and lost 4kg of belly fat in 25 days. Now im doing the carnivore diet for 4 weeks to drop body fat to 15% if i can.

    • +1

I'm inclined to agree with you if only these cans didn't have as much protein in them for the price… really helps with hitting my daily goals without having steak or chicken for breakfast, lunch and dinner

      • Yeah, agree its expensive to go fully unprocessed food. But still hitting the 200g per day protein but costs a fortune 🤣

    • I don't mind the other flavour tins.

but the mayo and corn is the most processed tasting. they had to preserve the mayo forever somehow.

try the mayo corn tuna supermarket sandwich it's a world of difference. tastes like real food vs not.

    • The macros on most tuna cans are very good - minus the whole Tuna things.

      Obviously salmon is better tho

      • My concern is that they coat the inner part of the tin with plastics so in addition to the high mercury in fish today, you also may get a dose of microplastics depending on manufacturing process and amount of heat involved.

      Yes yes yes 💯 🙏

Don't care as long as the taste is the same. Put it on a sanga with cheese and lettuce any day thanks.

  • +10

Terrible taste, tastes like cat food
    Sirena is 100x better.

    • Feed it to the cat

    • +8

Aldi brand is serena clone and 3x cheaper

    • +15

stop eating cat food so you don't have a comparison.

    • So which cat food tastes best?

    • +1

      I love Sirena! My fav

    • Agree. Tuna is definitely a product where there is a significant taste and quality difference between Sirena and everything else and when we are talking about a few bucks, I'd rather buy quality and skimp elsewhere where the quality difference between brands is less noticeable.

    • tastes like cat food

Did your cat tell you that or you started eating cat food 🧐

  • +3

Eat so much tuna they'll call you Freddie Mercury poisoning

Check the comment on Amazon on reviews, ensure correct quantity otherwise you will be paying 7 dollars for 1 which is not good. It's possibly falsely advertised on Amazon.
If this is true, the supplier on Amazon for this tuna, needs to be very careful of false advertising.

    • Did you read the first comment?

    • +1

I think most people would be able to notice the difference of 1 can vs 24 when it gets delivered

    • Weight says 3kg which is about right.

    • +3

you will be paying 7 dollars for 1 which is not good

If that happens, just contact Amazon customer support and they will refund the money. As a bonus, they won't even want you to send it back (because it is food).

It's crazy to me how many people on OzB nonchalantly talk about eating a can a day. Have people not heard of mercury poisoning?

    • There's probably only 40g of actual tuna in each can, I'm sure people will be fine.

    • I've spent a lot of time in Asia where some people would be eating upwards of 500g of fish a day, sometimes more, for their entire lives. I think people overestimate this.

  • Someone will travel by boat and these are the supplies for the trip…

  • Thanks I got mercury poisoning now.

  • damn this was a crazy price, i missed.. imagine the farts on this thing tho..
