  • Didn’t know Christian DIOR has a twin DIOR 😂

cashback is good but the last myer deal was better since it was 20% cashback on top of a 20% off discount. Everything right now at David Jones is RRP

    • +1

I posted the SB/Myer offer. The Myer offer excluded Chanel, Dior, Aesop. This offer is great for those excluded brands as per the title. Otherwise Myer is a better offer with the other brands. There was also a $30 Myer One bonus with $250 spend.

      • yup that's the one! True, I suppose this one is also better if one is going to use TRS with it to bring overseas since cashback has no effect on TRS claim for a higher RRP

  • Silly question… but could someone please help clarify if Diffuser would also under Beauty and eligible for cashback?

I'm after Jo Malone diffuser and if I were to search under beauty, it comes up as beauty/home fragrance/home diffuser/diffuser. But if I just go to search bar and type in Jo Malone diffuser itself on DJ website itself it shows Brand/Jo Malone London/home fragrance/ diffuser.

Planning to get this and would be great if I can get the extra cashback. Thanks in advance!

    • +3

All Jo Malone products have their own sub department code within the beauty portfolio so yes it’s under beauty and eligible. Which scent are you getting? The JML products are absolutely beautiful!

      • Thank you for clarifying that! I am getting English pear and Freesia. The best scent!

  • What are people buying from Dior? Genuinely want to know what’s popular from their beauty department

    • the other day a guy was buying his wife a $350 5ml Dior eye creme

    • Stick foundation and Backstage foundation
      Lip balms and lip oil
      Highlighter palette

      • Noted. I’ll grab a ten-pack of eye creams haha

But seriously, any fragrances worth considering?

    • Fragrances mostly. For men, Dior Homme is fantastic.

      • And for the woman in my life?

        • Jadore line is quite nice imho…EDP one is my fav

        • Jo Malone

  • +4

I've never seen Aesop discounted this much before! They're always excluded from these kind of promotions. Time to buy some Christmas gifts!

    • What’s good from the Aesop range?

      • +2

My top 4 favourite Aesop products I buy about once a year:

Aesop Moroccan Neroli Shaving Serum 100ml
        Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Scrub
        Aesop Post Poo Drops 100ml
Aesop Reverence Aromatique Hand Balm 500ml

Yes they’re premium/expensive products, but they’re incredibly good and last ages. Particularly love the Neroli Shaving Serum with it’s a super compact bottle - ideal for travel.

        • Poo drops doesn’t sound very expensive.

      • +2

Aesop Geranium Leaf is my favourite

  • Can I earn cashback on La mer & LA PRAIRIE?

    • +2

From last deal, La Mer yes.

I saw this offer via email but it is not shown on the upsize calendar in-app. Are we sure that this is happening? Right now DJ has upsized 25% cashback ending at 10am

    • +1

Looks like it. Tap on the "10am-4pm AEDT today" above to see the promo banner

  • The girls will love you if Dyson is included!

    what cause this error?

    • Try SB app to David Jones website, mobile data and Chrome.

      • I get the same. On the app my basket won't load. :(

  • Any tips for cancelling orders, apparently you can't cancel an online order after it has been placed.

    • +1

Not sure but best to contact David Jones. No exchanges or returns on Dior and Yves Saint Laurent due to change of mind. See their returns policy here.

    • +2

Once ordered you can't cancel. You return after receiving the item. Note on some exclusion from return though

  • +1

30% Cashback tracked after 15 minutes. Still waiting for the extra 2% bonus cashback from Westpac.

    • FYI seems to capped at one transaction per account. My second order tracked at the standard 2.7%

      • @gotyourback Can you please check with your team? Thanks.

        • Yeah I’m wondering if it’s 30% for one transaction only too!

        • +2

Cheers for the heads up! We’ve pinged the team to check if the 30% Cashback was only meant for the first order. We’ll drop an update here once we hear back 👍

          • +1

@gotyourback: We’ve confirmed it’s capped at 60 per order. There should not be a tracking issue, so that 2.7 percent on your second order looks odd.

@Gmaster mind dropping us a DM with your OID and the email on your ShopBack account so we can check it properly for you 👍

            • @gotyourback: Hey everyone 👋 quick update on this, we’ve checked with the team and found that some orders tracked at 2.7% instead of 30% due to a tracking glitch on our end.

The good news is it’s already being fixed, and the correct Cashback should update automatically in the next few days 👍 Appreciate everyone’s patience while we got to the bottom of it!

              • +1

@gotyourback: Thanks! We need round 2 as I didn’t bother placing more orders after issue with 2nd 😭

      • My first order tracked at 2.7%, not sure why. Hopefully this will be fixed.

        • +1

@gotyourback You may have missed these comments and here that have tracked incorrectly for the first order. Can you please advise? Many thanks.

          • +1

@trixieb: Thanks trixieb, I've also DM'd the rep.

      • +1

My dior purchase only tracked at 2.7%. I know they say tracked amount might be different in the beginning, but i hope they dont turn around and dishonour the deal. Raised a ticket anyway to be safe.

        • Thanks, please share if you hear back from them.

      • Yeah same issue here, subsequent order tracked at 2.7%

  • Does that mean Dior Savauge would be eligible under fragrance or is it ineligible under Dior only being skincare?

    • +1

The T&Cs have been updated for this offer. All Dior, skincare and fragrance seem to be included.

  • Sad - the Armani eye tint I wanted is OOS

My order tracked at 2.7% cashback??

    • +1

It seems to be tracking incorrectly. I have tagged the rep GYB.

    • Same issue

      • @gotyourback Seems to be tracking incorrectly for some. Hope your team can investigate. Thanks.

        • +5

Yep you’re right, we’ve noticed that too! A few orders tracked at 2.7% instead of 30% because of a tracking glitch on our end.

The team’s already on it and the correct Cashback should update automatically within the next few days 👍 Thanks for flagging and for being patient while we get it fixed!

    • Same here @gotyourback

  • my cashback + bank bonus tracked promptly (circa 10min). Regarding the additional challenge "$5 bonus with $200 spend" I thought these were always the inc GST price (e.g. spend $200 inc GST) but it has tracked my purchase ex-GST so I am a few dollars short. Any thoughts?

I note that the T&C make no reference to inc or ex GST but some prior challenges I have participated in do explicitly state that it is an inc-GST amount in the T&C.

    • +1

@gotyourback The $5 bonus with $200 spend challenge doesn't indicate the GST. $200 spend amount usually would include GST. Can you please clarify? Thanks.

      • Good question! For challenges like the $5 bonus with $200 spend, the spend amount is always calculated excluding GST, delivery fees, or any extra charges — that’s the standard for all regular Cashback offers.

The only time GST is counted is for gift card purchase challenges, since those work a bit differently. Hope that clears it up 👍

        • +1

@gotyourback Thanks for the quick response. I have participated in a few of these challenges including the recent SB Plus one. This includes non-gift card purchases but GST appears to be part of the $20 challenge.

It seems misleading and confusing that the $200 spend does not include GST. Prices advertised in Australia are meant to include GST as per Australian Consumer Law. It is reasonable to assume $200 spend would include GST unless otherwise stated. However there is no indication in this challenge. The previous SB Plus challenge mentioned seems to include GST for non-gift card purchases.

Can you please inform your team? Thanks.

          • +2

@trixieb: I concur. Previous challenges would state something along the lines of once you start the challenge the remaining to spend amount shown will be an ex-GST and hence lower than the banner spend figure because this is inc-GST. Normally SB does not have spend thresholds that require us to figure out the ex-GST amounts of our purchases to ensure we qualify.

            • +1

@price1d: I concur too xD, generally $200 spend it means how much you need to pay ,excluding GST sounds like a scam

          • @trixieb: Hey hey, totally get where you’re coming from, and yeah, it can definitely feel a bit confusing when prices usually include GST everywhere else.

I’ve passed your feedback to the team so they can look into making this clearer in future challenges. Really appreciate you pointing that out, it helps us improve how we explain things 👍

  • Anyone got some sort of Apple tv promo right after the purchase? I accidentally closed it right away and only caught a glimpse.

    • +1

      Yeah, I got the offer.

"You may have a 30-day free* trial of Apple TV+ Redeem your free trial of Apple TV+ and stream acclaimed Apple Original series, films and documentaries."

  • is tom ford fragrances included under fragrances

  • Placed two separate orders on Aesop products. Will report back.

First order tracked correctly at 30%

Second order tracked incorrectly at 2.7%

    Sb rep please investigate.

      • @mikuno @gotyourback replied here earlier but still tracking incorrectly.

        • Yeah it should be $60 cap per order, something wrong with their portal, just noticed the update

          • @Smallman: It is also tracking incorrectly for some first orders.

        • Yup I've read them, just reporting my personal experience here. I've messaged gyb.

  • Hello, mine also tracked incorrectly. Only got a 2.7% cashback, but also the purchase amount isn't the full amount I paid. Purchased something for $260 but it's displaying as $236. Seeing others face the same first issue but not the purchase amount issue.

    • Yes me too

    • $236 would be the ex-GST amount?

      • Ohhhh yep silly me. Just hoping they fix the 2.7% issue then!

    • +1

      It's ex gst.

  • Mine tracked at 30% cashback plus 2% but one item $31) oos (bringing it under $200), @gotyourback can you please confirm i will still receive 30% cashback plus 2% on the rest of the order? Thanks

  • Ordered and cashback tracked in minutes. Similar to many other cashback promos these days, GST is not included, so this is in fact 27.27% cashback. Hopefully SB and TC stop this practice, as they deal with people that must pay GST.

  • Made a purchase at 3:50pm, not tracked yet

  • +1

Made a purchase of a Chanel product just before 4pm, cashback tracked, and then shortly after 4pm received an order cancellation email from David Jones. Didn't expect to be scammed like this by David Jones of all places.

    • Same here… I've tried after 4pm as well, and got another cancelation email… I give up.

      • Same here; the issue is the payment method - switching to PayPal solved it for me but possibly an alternate CC/DC may be sufficient.

        • I used apple pay at first… Then I saw the expiry date looked incorrect. So I did the order again, this time manually putting in my credit card details (westpac) and it got canceled again…

  • 30% tracked but nothing yet for the 2% bank bonus - anyone else in the same boat?

  • Has anyone else's order got cancelled? Just noticed as I was checking for pickup status. I didnt even get a cancellation email
